Do You Have A Personal Mission Statement?

I don't have a personal mission statement. I did draft one for my Jedi ministry, and I like it, and if I had a personal mission statement it wouldn't look much different. So maybe I'm just playing semantics. Honestly, though, while putting purpose and values into words is a good exercise and something of a covenant with myself, I don't think it changes who I am or who I am aiming to become.

I don't think I really have one... but I do find telling myself from time to time,
It's the idea that we're all a little mad, and that we don't really know or understand ourselves or each other. That way I can look at myself or others with a little more pity when we act (or react) and doing so doesn't quite make sense why we did so in such a way.
It also reminds me of someone who said something along the lines of...
Everyone's a fool. And I'm the one who can most easily fool myself.
Or after actually finding the quote (It's not the same thing sorry!);
But in any case, I imagine I go mostly where the wind takes me. As for why, I like trying to go/flow with the world rather than against it (although one could argue; how could I go against it anyway when I'm part of it ha!)
Good question Pro! Thanks,
Everyone is a little f**ked up.

Richard P. FeynmanThe first principle is that you must not fool yourself and you are the easiest person to fool.

Been thinking about this for a few days. Its best summed-up by a combination of a Chinese proverb:
"It's better to light a candle, than curse the darkness"
And the words of Irving Berlin:
"There may be trouble ahead, but whilst there's moonlight, and music, and love, and romance,
Let's face the music and dance"

I don't know if I'd call it a mission statement, but I'd call it maybe a personal motivation motto:
"You can't kill me, motherfucker."
Cancer didn't kill me either time I had it. All that horrifying crap from my past didn't stick. What do you think you're gonna do to me?
Maybe my mission statement would be something like:
"Last one. Make it the best one."
My martial arts instructor used to say that. "Last 10 pushups, Cramer," he'd say, "make them the best ones." "Last hour of work," I say every day, "make it the best one." Every moment is a test of your endurance, and how you finish is who you are.
And I like to think that on the day I die, whatever finally kills me will be the best one ever

I can't help but agree. Getting what you want (be it food, a fancy car, world peace, etc.) is actually pretty hard.

LOL I actually kind of like that.
I do , when i read it i thought , yeah...get what you want ..., but the thing is , i want fish and chips , but i need vegetables, the struggle is real
Only Sith deal in absolutes  , you can have both if....
I keep it simple in the Dark side. Get what you want, whatever that is in your life. Because its damn sure to short a life to live and not get what you want out of it.
Ill leave the specifics of that, and the moral and ethical choices in how to the individual. I got my own things to be getting.

I want to leave this world a little better than when I came into it.
