googled it, didnt see coverage from any major network
below are quotes from this article: https://www.rt.com/usa/198360-kentucky-prison-sexual-assault-deal/
Former corrections officer, James Johnson, 54,sergeant, was arrested by State Police following an investigation where they determined he was trafficking drugs to inmates and sexually abusing them at the Kentucky Correctional Institute of Women in Peewee Valley, according to WLKY-TV.
...detectives revealed that Johnson, who had worked there for nine years, was supplying controlled substances to female inmates and sexually abusing them.
Johnson was eventually charged with 25 counts of sexual abuse, trafficking controlled substances, and 50 counts of official misconduct.
...accepted a plea deal on Monday that requires him to attend a diversion program...sentenced to seven years of probation – five years for drug trafficking and only two years for dozens cases of sexual abuse.
People are complicated.

If the concept of privatized prisons with quotas and profit margins isn't an indicator that the American Prison system is flawed then I don't know what is.

Sharing this information with everyone you know is the best way to help. Most people have no idea that America's prison system is made up of private, for-profit enterprises. This also goes hand in hand with civil forfeiture laws. Several states are beginning to wake up to this injustice. Nebraska just changed their laws to require a conviction before law enforcement officials can confiscate money from a suspect. In many states, they can just take your money and it's up to you to prove that you weren't planning on buying drugs with it.
