With all the negativity going around I thought I'd make a positive post.

The Temple has meant so much to me in my time here. I've made amazing friends here. I love each and every one of you and couldn't imagine my life without you. I look forward to many years of conversation with each of you on a variety of topics. Thank you for always being there for me and being willing to discuss so many different topics. I appreciate you all.

I've learned more than I ever thought I could both from my studies and from all of you. There is something unique about online relationships that makes me feel close to each of you. I am truly thankful for all of you and am glad you are in my life. The Temple means so much to me and as much as I complain and wonder if I should stay I know I could never really leave for any length of time. It's wonderful to have a place I can call home and that's how I feel about the Temple. We have our problems but so does any community. I hope we'll find solutions to these problems and come out better for having confronted them.

In the interest of starting a conversation: what does the Temple mean to you personally?

“Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.” -Zhuangzi

“Though, as the crusade presses on, I find myself altogether incapable of staying here in saftey while others shed their blood for such a noble and just cause. For surely must the Almighty be with us even in the sundering of our nation. Our fight is for freedom, for liberty, and for all the principles upon which that aforementioned nation was built.” - Patrick “Madman of Galway” O'Dell

I feel the same, Lyk! I hope after all the dust settles that we all just remember one thing: We are all human. Many of us need this lesson to remember that, and to be reminded to treat each other gently and with grace even when we disagree.

Thanks for being one of my favourite JFFs!

My Temple brings so many people together. I have learned so much here and am continuing to learn. I am grateful for all the goods and the bads. The goods give the feeling of we'll being and the bads help me more of a better person Jedi teacher husband dad and person. Could I have learned this some where else? Probly... but I like it here. I swore an oath and gave my word to all who enter here and plan to serve anyway possible, even if it just a picture or a phrase or even just a word of encouragement. We make this place. We make it up. Is it perfect, fuck no... will we argue, uhh yea! but that's the idea...to see the differences and to gain from them. To practice and learn to be Jedi. I LOVE this TEMPLE

Indeed! We could all use a reminder that we're all human and deserving of respect and support.

You're most welcome! Thank YOU for being such a wonderful friend. You are appreciated.

I like that you said you are grateful for the bad things as well as the good. Sometimes we forget that bad things are a learning opportunity. This is admirable.

I must be oblivious, but what negativity is going on? I see a few debates here and there...but is there a real issue happening that I'm not aware of?

This Temple is truly a wonderful place, I would hate there to be a schism or overall battle of influences going on. I would definitely appreciate some clarification :)

There's some difficulties going on. It's nothing to be overly concerned about really. I think a lot of it is growing pains. There have been a lot of new members, which is great, but can cause a dearth of personal attention.

We'll get through it, we always do. I'm just sad to see some people leaving the Temple over the issues.

My Temple means a lot to me because it makes me question my motives for being a good person , that sounds odd maybee but i want to do the right thing because of the right reasons and not because i feel obliged and it drains my energy. I have found a home with a family , and families fight over attention and all the petty things that you see in the outside world as well , family members come up with great ideas and they get dismissed or acknowledged , some feel hurt , some feel heard , but the key word is is that we are one. We dont all fit in , we are not supposed to , we can learn so much in this tolerant and caring community and that is what my Temple means to me. I love it here

The Temple is primarily a place of learning, about the Force, it's meaning in our lives, and a mirror reflecting areas of self learning I require. It's also a space to meet and get to know others who walk this long road.

For me the temple is a order of Knighthood, a place to call: home with family, a school without school building. All combined I would say that: The temple is much like a rain forest! There are plenty things available, it resulted in people crawling on the ground seeking berries, and others jump from the tree tops to find the ideal meal. In the end we all drink and exist here together. We are part of the rainforest, without inhabitants it would not exist.
