As we go into the New Year, remember it is not about the resolutions you make, it’s about how you treat people and act. Sure, have goals, goals are a wonderful thing, but remember to act as Jedi. Help in any way you can. Be courteous to a total stranger for no reason other than to be courteous. Go sit outside and take in nature, let the sun hit your face. Sit quietly with your eyes closed and feel your surroundings. Pay attention to your feelings. We can’t help everyone but we can all help someone, even if it is only a kind word. You might just make someone’s day. As Jedi we should do all that we can to help make the world a better place. If you see someone in trouble, help them out. Don’t be afraid to ask for guidance or help for yourself either. I am here if anyone needs to lean on me until you regain your composure. I am here for anyone who wants to send me a message or ask a question. I do not have all the answers, I am still searching for some of my own, but sometimes it just takes an ear. You all have my ear. You all have my heart. You all have me and many others here as well.

Everyday is the beginning of a new year. Why wait for 1/1 to make resolutions and improve/change your lifr?

LOL, I guess technically that is true! You are right, make a change and be the change for the better!

This is true, but I still think it's a good thing to have a day set aside for it to be the focus. Just like we can be thankful for things everyday but we still have Thanksgiving, we can honor our troops everyday but we still have Veterans Day and Memorial Day or their non-US equivalents.

too much is too much, but i think that ritual and ceremony are good things in moderation
a "new year" ritual of reflection on and thankfulness for the year passed, and clearly articulating the hopes and aspirations of the year ahead, is good for the soul imo

There is always a way to do way too much celebrations on New Years. My advice is just to stay safe, be careful, and if anyone needs help long the way, you can lend them a hand. Hanging out with friends and helping others makes a New Year great. Remember always help any of those in need and make every day a New Year.
