I just read about this, and am not quite sure how to feel about it just yet. On the one hand, Monsanto is out of control and needs to be reined in, but on the other hand, they're also incredibly powerful and no strangers to weaseling their way into impunity through courts all over the world. Would they be found guilty? Could they make anything stick? Would any punishment be enforceable, and if so, how? Would non-guilty parties employed by the company suffer should the company be deemed guilty? We know the up-sides, but what are the potential downsides to establishing ecocide as a prosecutable criminal offense? Are there any? How would ecocide be legally defined? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I think undeniable proof would be enough. We know they are beyond corrupt, gmo foods are unhealthy and it's pretty dangerous to have someone like that be in control of the food. Controlling the food controls people unless they are self sufficient and live off the grid.

I say 'AMEN'. ;)

It was said that he who controls the money controls the world. Really I think it is he who controls the food controls the world. You can't eat money after all and if food is withheld or in short supply people will be desperate and do anything for food. It's strange Monsanto is in business. Nobody and I mean NOBODY I know likes Monsanto.
