Has anyone read the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan?

Just curious, because the way they view the ideas of light and dark and creative energy are incredibly similar to what is discussed here.

I've read the books and yes- they're excellent (if not a little long!)

Streen (Streen?) has read them more recently and has enjoyed them a fair bit or so I believe and so have a couple of other people- you might like to see what they said here- http://www.templeofthejediorder.org/forum/Miscellaneous/104976-wheel-of-time-the-fire-and-the-void#169017

Enjoy, :)

P.s. Using the search thread can help find old threads like the one I linked to, :)

Vusuki is right, I did start reading them. Unfortunately I couldn't really get into it. They seemed interesting, very mysterious, but I'm ultimately not a big fan of the magical/medieval/Lord-of-the-Rings style of writing. I'm more of a space/sci-fi kind of guy. I actually haven't read much fiction outside of Star Wars. I'm currently catching up on one such book I missed, "Invincible" (very cool so far :D ). But I've read (I think) the entire EU book list. I have to check...
