Warning: Spoiler!
There is passion, yet there is peace
Through passion I gain strength and knowledge
Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony
Through peace and harmony my chains are broken
There is no death, there is the force and it shall free me
Through passion I gain strength and knowledge
Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony
Through peace and harmony my chains are broken
There is no death, there is the force and it shall free me

It's really just intuition. I spent so many years bull crapping my way through high school that I have a 6th sense for it. Haha
If someone considers themselves to be a sage does that disqualify them from truly being a sage?
I would think so as a sage's ego, if they have one, wouldnot think of themselves that way. As soon as you start thinkling/believing your wise you've stepped off the path to wisdom.
I think but I'm not sure but will proabably never know, I hope but am in no hurry to find out.
Sages like great artist are mostly recognized after their dead. Then what good is it for them anyway?
So bother with it know?

Isn't it really that the sage is a path, not a statement of wisdom.

Could be. I'm not hung up on definations.
Seeking to understand is the path to wisdom but wisdom is a byproduct not an end and who is to say if one is on the right path anyway? I don't know?

You do not "become" a Sage. A person that is called a Sage is usually "chosen" or is naturally sought out for their advice. Usually people just Know it about that person. They are moved by the Force to seek that person out.
I find that a Sage is usually in a "high place" verses down at the bottom in all of the "chaos". I feel what makes a Sage is "perspective". Its easy to look into something when you are not in it? I find people with this quality are tapped into the Force, they are moved from a place of stillness and openness. They have a broad, wide, "high", perspective. They usually take everything in and consider all the factors of the situation.
they offer heartfelt suggestions, guidance or advice in a loving way that is easily received.
For a "real" Sage, society will tell that person they are a Sage verses the person standing up and announcing to the world, "hey I am a Sage now. Come listen to me...bhalbhbahblahblhalb..."
