I try to not monopolize posting, I would hope that other members would post....

I will answer the questions I think I can answer. Some are not ones I have answers to.

How do you follow the Jedi Path?

As best as I can, with some support from others, some from leaps of faith, some from quiet hope I'm getting it right for me :)

How do you interpret and apply the idea of the force to everyday life?

I agree with ren in that there's not really anything to apply. I believe the Force is in everything and is everything, I cannot avoid it, I cannot control it, I can only see the consequences of the connections within it and everything else.

What happens at meetings offline?

Well the last one I went to we talked, drank and had dinner.

It won't let me have a blank signature ...

How do you follow the Jedi Path?

The same way a flower grows from its seed and blooms in season.

How do you interpret and apply the idea of the force to everyday life?

The same way a hummingbird interprets the air around its wings and observes the flower it flies toward.

Where did the Doctrine come from?

The heart of any human being who really cares.

What happens at meetings offline?

The same thing that happens when two branches of a tree touch in the wind.

“For it is easy to criticize and break down the spirit of others, but to know yourself takes a lifetime.”
― Bruce Lee

i respect the flow of the thread so i responded to this (sort of) in the INTRODUCTIONS forum

to contribute to the thread here

in my initial response felt like i answered this question but; doctrine;
ultimately the issue of doctrine is the same for everyone regardless of ones path

especially with the internets
the full scope of human knowledge is my doctrine (not that i expect to learn it all but i am working on it) and this COULD be said of anyone

People are complicated.

Here goes...

How do you follow the Jedi Path?
Unconsciously at first. I have always felt the pull of something greater than myself guiding me along the journey. Jediism and the Force have become the names I apply to my spiritual journey as the philosophies mesh well with my own. Now I consciously choose to be a member of this Temple because of teh opportunity to learn form other Jedi who share similar goals.

How do you interpret and apply the idea of the force to everyday life?
The Force will guide and protect you if you are willing to listen. Through discipline and training we can learn to be better listeners. In turn, we become a physical manifestation of the Force and can act as an instrument of peace.

Where did the Doctrine come from?
My favorite aspect of this Temple is that the Doctrine draws from so many fantastic moral, ethical, religious, and philosophical sources as inspiration. One does not have to be a Star Wars fan to relate to these source materials. You'll find hints of Abrahamic religion, Eastern philosophy, medieval chivalry, and ancient mythology all wrapped up in the words.
