A social experiment where a guy drops a wallet in front of a homeless person to see if they would return it:

That was really amazing in the end. That really changed that gentleman's life I'm sure. What a beautiful soul. Thank you for sharing.

In "testing" someone, don't be surprised to discover they are human...

If I hadn't eaten in 24+ hours and you dropped an edible food item, not sure if I'd eat it or return it... Can't say till I'm in the eye of the storm.

In my view, this moves one no closer to understanding the homeless individual and only serves to reinforce the Point of View of those who have the luxury to see this....

Just my current opinion, I stand ready to be run over by the bus of understanding.

Good point.
We often say that everyone has a plan till they climb in the ring and take the first hit.

And this is also one of the things I aspire to be better at… standing for my principles and ideals no matter how bad the situation gets. We are all only human as Arkayik pointed out, but I see no problem with striving to be better than an excuse.

If you look at some of the comments on the link a lot of them are about whether or not one should pass judgement on the people who kept the wallet. While that might have been done by the video's authors, I do not think that is what people should be focusing on.

The focus shouldn't be on the people who kept the wallet while in unfortunate circumstances - that might even be expected - the focus should be on the fact that someone, despite their circumstances, gave the wallet back.
