Wisdom or Intelligence?

I would take wisdom over intelligence any day because intelligence without the wisdom to properly apply it can lead to many bad things. There are plenty of examples in history (and probably our own personal lives if we're honest) of highly intelligent people making some rather unwise decisions.

FYI, Pushkin is to Russian literature at least what Dickens is to English or Twain is to American. The passage I quoted is from his drama Mozart And Salieri and is well known because of the number of levels of character depth and tragic irony that converge in that point. I highly recommend it, be that as translated or original text.

Not Pushkin. Dostoevski.Faith and mathematical proofs are two incompatible things

The originator of the big bang theory was a Catholic priest named Georges Lemaitre. One may not necessarily agree with the big bang (I personally do agree), but faith and logic easily compliment one another. Both look at the same world in different ways. Also thank you all for your replies thus far, they have been very enlightening

I originally thought they were both the same thing, but now that the thread of my Brethren have outlined the difference, I would definitely go with wisdom. Intelligence seems to be the building blocks and wisdom being the gearhead knack to build the castle. The natural ability to perform in a certain area.
