A New Pair of Eyes

I joined the Temple a few days ago and have started the IP, to hear all the things that Cambell talks about showing the similarity throughout all religions. I woke up to do laundry and walk down the stairs of the barracks and I look out the window and this feeling that I'm looking at a different world.

I have read up on meditation and am seeing that Jediism has been what my belief has always been, I've just been denied the chance till now.

It certainly is a great feeling being open to explore to find that transcendence (which in Christian faith would be God) but starting to study Jediism, my thoughts that I have had before that there is no man (higher being) that it is only us and an energy (Force) that binds and connects us all..

Christianity was pushed on me being raised in that type of home but so many questions arose over the years that made me question the faith.

You're among friends, Drako. I too grew up in a primarily Christian environment. It's quite a feeling to be able to see beyond that religion.

Thank You! I have definitly opened to a lot more and found myself asking questions that I before would have never thought to ask..

I too was raised in Christianity. I too have had many questions through my life and was never satisfied with the answer of "That is just how it is" or "because the bible said so". I would dare say that I started down the path of the Jedi without even knowing it. I remember just like you, looking out the window one day and seeing the world completely different. So exciting and frightening as well. Most of my writing show that.
I have read about meditation and always wanted to do it but for some reason never tried. Now I look forward to that connection in my life. I am glad I found this place and hope to grow in knowledge from it.
