It sounds like you got the raw end of the deal... the app is free now but the reviews on the google app store suggest the paid app is now the same as the free app..

I'm pretty sure I didn't pay for it.. but I've never seen ads

No.. not from memory. I scrolled through a few just now and I don't see anything. Weird that you should have ads and me not.

My tapatalk app fix:

1. Uninstall
2. Never use again
3. Problem solved

I use the phones proprietary browser and when it acts up I switch to chrome....
