suspecting a teacher of writing fiction.. Does this mean that we cant watch crime series in the future? Not sure what to think of this article. The only thing I can say without doubt hope that the occurrence leads to the proper actions.

Dammit, and now I just dislike shoddy reporting in general

Seems similar to story of the child that wrote about shooting his neighbors dinosaur over summer vacation...

I understand the need for vigilance in assessing potential violence, but some of this stuff is getting absurdly out of control. At what point does one cross the line from Freedom of Speech or entertainment to sociopath preparing for murder? Zero tolerance policies erase the line, and make every incident a sociopath.

Interestingly enough, I was listening to some classic 80s songs this weekend, and the first thought that crossed my mind was "Wow, these song lyrics would get you arrested if you wrote them today..."

Sad state of affairs, if you ask me.

I'm pretty disgusted that writing fiction is considered grounds for a mental evaluation... Let's hope nothing I've ever written comes to light in Maryland, who knows what they would find 'wrong' :dry:
