Words That Resonate was created by
When I meditate and am relaxed, I feel sensations in different parts of my body when I think of certain words. Most often in my belly. These aren't mantras, I'm not saying them out loud, but they may be having a mantra like effect.

Some words like peace actually lower my blood pressure and pulse. Thinking cool, calm, collective relax me.

I can neutralize words that evoke anxiety and negative vibes by focusing my thoughts on the spot in my body where that sensation is created and directing my attention to it, relaxing that spot until the sensation goes away.

Anyone do anything like that?

Yes, anytime I feel like being lazy, or slacking, not doing as I should, making excuses not to do something etc I tend to repeat in my mind the first line of the Sith Code.

"Peace is a lie, there is only passion"

It tends to add fuel to my fire, for whatever reason.

I know its a phrase and not a single word, but its the same thing.

Of course, the word Dark carries its own resonance for me.

So does Sith, obviously.

If that works for you, great. That's too negative of a focuse for me

My intentions is to clear/minimize my mind and body of tension and emotional response, not stimulate energy/emotion, less fire so to speak. I am attempting to clear my thoughts like water settling so I can be open and more sensitive.

I don't think this type of energy work is lazy or slacking of me. In fact the more I do the more focused and productive I am. Kind of like stopping once in a while when chopping wood to sharpen the ax.

I didnt mean to imply that your lazy. I was and do only speak for myself.

I am not lazy either, but I have my days where I am slow going. I dont want to get up early, work out, etc, etc.

I dont have a problem relaxing.

You asked if we do something similar, and it is.

I dont know how stimulation is negative though.

Didn't say or imply that. Calming my mind and stimulation it at the same time is in conflict for me. The new thought and images that may come in when I'm calm may thought of as stimulating but I want to minimize strong emotional or physical response while eeexploring them.

Some of your words seem negative..but that's me.

Before I came here, and even still actually, I used to have the same kind of feeling with names of a few of the Egyptian gods, especially Sutekh and Aset.

It won't let me have a blank signature ...

I meditate on words and phrases. It's how I develop my understanding of them. I think it's only natural that if you really focus on a word or phrase it will envoke a particular sensation. I do this both to relax and also for stimulation. Like Khaos focuses on the Sith code I do this with the Jedi code. Light and darkness, peace and passion are some of my favourite words to use.
