I thought it was an interesting article. Didn't particularly like the "You should"s over it all but it was still generally good to read about what might be useful to have awareness of. I think the most 'important' point for me would be No.2- You Live the Life you create for yourself. Perhaps this is the illusion of free will but I like to believe it is so that we have that 'free will'.. God/universe/reality playing the game of life coming on in form as you now.
Anyway- Enjoy

Nice article...

I say this quite often, lol...

"You have the destiny to live the life you choose...."

Meaning there is destiny and free will...

Choose not to study in high school? You are destined to have a tougher time trying to get back into college, or a great, high paying career...

And, every choice further steers your destiny.....

Mine catalyst would be number 3, busy isn't production...

I'm getting better, but, I have trouble saying "no" when ask for help, and sometimes over tax myself...

Unless you are moving... Then I just say "I don't own a truck"......

On walk-about...

Sith ain't Evil...
Jedi ain't Saints....

There is a poster on the wall of my fitness center. It reads,

"The best way to predict the future is to create it."

I choose to forge my future with every action I make. It's amazing how we spend the energy to worry instead of spending the same energy to simply do it.

Great article. I really liked the part about not reading too much news. I caught 5 minutes of news and thought how much better the time would have been spent to go for a walk instead. :P

I like the one that is "what you own is not who you are." In my job I meet a lot of people with fancy cars and big houses and it's taken a while but I can say I am happy with what I have to point where I don't feel the need to replace older things if they still work; I don't need that tv, I don't need a new car. In that way, what I own no longer defines how I feel, and by definition, me; I have reduced the feeling of 'dukkha' (to borrow a Buddhist term) created by objects.

I think much dissatisfaction with life would be removed if everyone remembered 'what you own is not who you are'.

Something I think that is related to the last one "everything changes, every second" is the idea that we all we have to lose is now. We can't lose the future because it hasn't happened, and we can't lose the past because it's gone, so live now, as that's all we have to lose.

It won't let me have a blank signature ...

Everything changes every second.

That alone addresses all the others for me...
