Well if you have a job, then you're getting paid less than you're worth. If an employer paid you what you're worth, they wouldn't make any profit. If they paid you more than you're worth they would lose money. So the only jobs are ones that pay people less than they are worth.Naya wrote: I think it depends on the job and whether you're getting paid what you're worth

That depends on how you define what you're worth. Are you worth more than living comfortably financially? If I had a job making $150k a year, I would not say that I wasn't being paid what I was worth. I think I could live quite comfortably on that. Some people require more money because they desire more... I don't. It's all a matter of perspective.

You are worth the fruits of your labour. Even if you make $150k/year, nobody is going to pay you that unless you produce more than that with your labour. So even a person who makes $150k/year gets paid less than they are worth.Naya wrote:

So there is a way to measure how much a teacher brings into their organization in order to gage how much they should be paid?

Well all public sector jobs are communism, actually. If you go to a private school, you'll find that the school collects tuition and gives a small percentage of that to the teacher and keeps the surplus as profit. Schools that charge more pay their teachers more because the teachers add value that allows the school to charge more.Naya wrote:

I think I'm going to agree to disagree at this point.
