I'm not denying that Switzerland has stricter laws than the USA. However, the Swiss laws regarding private ownership are markedly more permissive than most of Europe. Possibly the most permissive. Private transfers are legal, and don't have to be notarized. Semi-autos are legal. Carry is legal. Stuff like that.
