Someone hacked fa

It was nice they left their Facebook links.

I took screen shots for the history page (of both hack page and FB page)

My site was hacked not too long ago (about 6 weeks ago). With similar effect. Though it was done by a different hacker; though might be affiliated within the same community. It happens. And certainly repairable. I am sure they'll get it corrected shortly. But it is a good reminder.

Nothing lasts forever. Protect your site as best you can. Keep continual back-ups. And know your alternate communication sites (e.g. Facebook). Remember that these Communities, as useful as they are, in the end are simply words on a screen. The ideals and friendships lived and made daily go much further than these websites. A url is nothing to how we live and the people we share that journey with.

boy it is such a shame that FA was hacked. I hope they get it all recovered.

They will . As far as I know their admin keeps back ups and what was hacked was nothing crucial. The forums are fine and can still be accessed.

Well to be fair they did steal the work from the real FA after it closed down so perhaps we will see what happens with FA 3.0.

As mentioned the FA isn't closing down. It is a minor technical issue. The Forums are untouched. You can stop celebrating. The FA is just fine.
