Ive just heard the News that former South African presdient Nelson Mandela has passed away.

A man of great courage, conviction and a force for peace dispite the horrors that my homeland faced then and since.

I was fortunate enough to meet him once when I was a child and have never forgotten the vibrant beauty in his eyes.

RIP Madiba

"Death is something inevitable. When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for the eternity."
- Nelson Mandela, 1918-2013

He is an example to us all, and his legacy will not be forgotten. Something tells me we haven't heard the last of his wisdom...

A sad loss, great man... I googled quotes and found this as the first on the page... seemed fitting here at TotJO.

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
