Transgender Day of Remembrance

I don't bring this up every year though it is an annual thing. Once a year on November 20th is the Transgender Day of Remembrance in memorial of all those who were murdered in the last year just for being transgender. Its a bit of a solemn occasion and the local observance here in Dallas is tonight. Unfortunately circumstances prevent me from attending. As such I'd like to take the time to educate/commemorate the day here on the forums. I ask that those that are inclined take a moment of silence in honor of each of these.

We also hope that you will remember Lisa Empanada who felt that suicide would resolve the conflicts in her life. The day of remembrance is for our transitional love ones that have suffered violence due to thier status, but Lisa was a beloved sister who leveled violence on herself due to her inner conflicts, a less than accepting world and her fear of how any form of transition would impact her own loved ones.
