Worst Birthday ? ? ? ?

Well today is my birthday. Last night I fell asleep not feeling really good in my head.

First, within the past few days me and my sister Baker Acted our mom. This puts someone here in Florida under 72 psychological watch and gives them help if needed. What is funny about that you can Baker Act yourself I think.

Second, my step-dad has gone on hate spree towards me and my sister. So I've been kicked out of the house and now my school is jeopardy due to this.

Sometimes, it seems that everything just goes to hell when things are just starting to look up.

Well, I woke up this morning but instead of feeling blah about everything I realized a few things.

One, I have shelter with other family members when it is needed. I am at my sister's.

Two, I may not have my home, but I have a place I can go and never need to worry about being homeless. Between family and friends I will always have a place I can go take a shower.

So, yeah it may be my worst birthday, but at least I am alive, I am well, I am fed. So overall compared to other days I am actually doing o.k. and should not let one day ruin my mood.

I'm sorry to hear your birthday didn't work out as you hoped it might scott

At least there are some positives mentioned, so its not a complete loss

Happy belated birthday, but that's not really why I chose to comment.

That is exactly the attitude we should all aspire to when sh** just doesn't go our way. It's great to be able to recognize it and have the wisdom to see there is more out there, a bigger picture as it were.

In some of my worst days, it was comforting to know that the sun would still rise in the morning and it would shine on me regardles of my personal cirumstances.

So it is with the Force (the Sun being, in my opinion, a powerful, symbolic, and physical manifestation of it)...it is there for anyone, regardless of the unfortunate events that we all run into some time or another.
