Jestor, I want to thank you for that, but I also want to state that I have been an honest dick at times, so the negative feelings many people here have toward me are because of more things than my views are unpopular.

However, this gave me the courage to bluntly ask: Why is the discussion of race so taboo? I've had discussions about homosexuality and the soundness thereof with many gay people here and elsewhere who were very civil and open-minded. In fact, I've only had maybe a handful of gay people in my experience who did the whole "offended/discrimination" thing. Why's race off limits? Why is "racism" so forbidden?

It really depends on who you discuss with Star Forge. Some people are really open and accepting of that discussion, while others see it as off limits.

I myself used to be racist, for a great many years, because of an experience I had as a child with a black man which still scars me to this day. I have come to understand however, that not everyone from a particular race can be punished for the crimes of one individual.

The discussion of race is not taboo Forge, it is the manner in which such a thing is discussed that is an issue, and sadly, from the many many discussions you and I have had, the manner is more often than not derogatory. I would guess that the negative feelings you believe people have towards you are largely because of the way in which you present your opinions, not because they are unpopular.

Like I said, I fully admit that I have been a dick at times. And, to be fair, our "discussions" were all in chat and not really intended to be proper "discussions" about anything too important.

I beg to differ though. If I even attempted to discuss race and IQ, for instance, I doubt it would last very long.

Perhaps you should put it to the test. Present your opinion in a manner that is not derogatory and as factual as possible and lets see where the discussion goes.

In chat yes (which is not a "proper discussion" according to you.) Though I dont recall it as being an accusation, I asked if your interest in personally administering violent physical punishment for petty criminals was indicative of nazi tendencies.

Actually the Nazi prison system was more humane. You could have accused me of being an Israeli, as it's the only "western" nation where torture is legal

Or you could have accused me of being an American, because here, every crime that warrants imprisonment also warrants a mandatory ass-raping.

You seem preoccupied with homosexuality, Star Forge. I can't recall a post that you've made (that I've read at least) that didn't include some commentary about how too many of the topics on TotJO are gay. So frequently that I've considered that you may be a bot.

As for Brenna accusing you of being a Neo-Nazi... Your profile states: "Guitarist/flautist/vocalist of NSBM band." If this is not in reference to a "National Socialist black metal" band, then my mistake. Otherwise, I will assume that you are a National Socialist (aka Nazi).
