Hello my fellow Jedi. Been gone for a bit having to move and all and back to share with
all of you and meet new folks...
Wanted to share an item to help smack reality once again into our minds
not to forget outside of here is a world in chaos.
Now I'm not talking politics or regions but something as those of us that
are parents or grandparents, as well as the generations to come.
Civility seems to be lesser in our world when sports come into play.
In Tennessee it's reported that at the end of a game when good sports-
manship is to be demonstrated by the good game and hand shake is
no longer acceptable due the poor sports that begin to brawl.
What can we do? It's our job to help our children learn to be good sports
and not be poor sports. Competitiveness is one thing. But not learning
to make oneself better and brawl over it is chaos.....
Just a thought only return...

Agreed.
To be honest, in these days I'm surprised fights don't break out more often. So much aggression out in the world.
Also, welcome back

Welcome back! Good to see you again!
I'm not a sports fan to begin with so people that fight over them just baffle me. I would fight to defend my friends, family, and country NOT because my team lost. Its just insanity and chaos like you said.
I also feel like athletes are VASTLY overpaid. 20 million dollar two year contracts!? Honestly!? Our doctors and firemen sometimes make less than 100,000 a year. Not to mention the absolutely deplorable salaries our teachers receive! If we value the man that smacks his head into the heads of others over a little brown ball THAT much more than the people that insures the success of our children in life there is a SERIOUS issue in our society. I know teachers that are literally about to become homeless and can barely feed their families.
Serious, folks, "panem et circenses" is what you get.

I'm better than you are because...
my country is #1(nationalism)
I have more money than you(classism)
my god is better than your god(theism)
my team is better than your team(fan-boyism?)
my iPhone is better than your iPhone(aplle fan-boyism)
We are taught to be competitive... encouraged to hurt others... my gain is your loss. Competitive people don't work together, they don't bond and form alliances to one another. This makes them easy to control via nationalism, classism, etc.
