As long as someone gets helped, isn't that more important than whether the helper is conceitedly arrogant or full of fake humility? (Or as one of Stephen King's characters put it: "false modesty is half the sin of pride.")
I would think if someone gets the help they need it outweighs the servant's attitudes that come later or the servant's attitude going in.

I completely agree.
There was a quote I once heard, and it has stuck with me.
