At least according to UTC (a few more hours before we hit Sep 22nd in my neck of the cactus).
Autumn is typically a melancholy season, but it doesn't have to be one that causes us to look with dread to the coming cold and longer nights.
(In the desert where I live it's very hot still (104 degrees Fahrenheit today) so Autumn and Winter is a happy time of year for us.)
I also learned that Autumn is the season loved by the Hindu goddess Saraswati. (She is the goddess of "knowledge, music, arts and science.")
What better time for me (and others perhaps) to re-focus on seeking knowledge and learning what the world has to offer. Something new you'd like to learn? Perhaps this webpage can kindle something within you as it lists dozens of reputable web sites that offer free education to the public (institutions such as MIT, Yale, UC Berkely and many others):

In addition to that, don't take for granted the Temple library that has dozens of items worth studying and learning about.
Happy studying, learning, and finding yourself this upcoming Autumn season 2013.
