Still closer to each other than anythings else out there...

And, if we (humans) could drop the ego thing, then we might find out we are even closer...

Instead of "Nothing", and "Im fine", or just silence, perhaps communication would help, lol...

I call for a more reasoned conversation. “Opposite sexes” is obviously a misnomer. The phrase suggests that men and women are fundamentally dissimilar, with contrasting strengths and weaknesses. In fact, if we have to choose between arguing that we are exactly the same and totally different, we have to go with the former. We are much more alike than we are different. Instead of plowing forward with the differences debate, I’d like to see us give more ink to our similarities and spend more energy appreciating just how much we have in common.

We do have some psychological differences, but not many. A lot of what people think are psychological differences actually has to do with socialization. People expect boys to act one way and girls to act another, so that's how they're raised. And then when they grow up to more or less fit the mold, that's seen as proof that there are innate differences, when really it's just that they were socialized differently. In other cultures, socialization is different, so the outcomes are different. If the differences were innate they would be the same across cultures.

Examples?

We are not that far apart, bit the difference between "light and dark" is but one difference, yet, its tough to navigate a dark room...

So even one difference, depending on how it is entangled in the situation, can be a major hurdle....

But, for a blind person, there is no difficulty in light or dark...

Its that damn ego, I'm tellin' ya!! Lolol...

Stupid egos...;)

Girls wear or like pink and boys wear or like blue is an example of socialization. Getting aroused by the opposite sex is an example of innate.

Men really do have a slightly harder time talking about emotions. That's related to hormones. But to the extent we think they have a hard time, that is socialization. In other places and other time periods, crying was seen as masculine, so men didn't bottle up their emotions as much. They would have still had to overcome a slight tendency to keep emotions in, but part of that stereotype is about socialization.

Women are not necessarily born to be subservient. That is socialization that tells them they need to be quite, act nice, and raise a family while their husband goes to work. We know this is just socialization because there have been women-run societies in the past and because more and more women now are breaking out of this socialization to have careers instead of families.
