Then If you study hard and do your best on the test then you should feel that you did the best you possibly could after taking the test.

The self-confidence of the warrior is not the self-confidence of the average man. The average man seeks certainty in the eyes of the onlooker and calls that self-confidence. The warrior seeks impeccability in his own eyes and calls that humbleness. The average man is hooked to his fellow men, while the warrior is hooked only to infinity.

On the DLAB - I took it in 2007. I'm not sure how your specialties work, but mine was on a scale by category. The lowest category languages were French, Spanish, Tagalog, and the like. Either due to proximity to English or simple structure. Those required an 85 on the test if I remember. From there every 15 points or so is another category...I want to say Arabic and Chinese were at the top with 115.
During the DLAB, don't get discouraged. It's a made-up language designed to test your ability to learn its rules quickly. EVERYONE hits mental gridlock at some point. Keep plugging away, stay focused, and don't worry about your score during. I thought I scored terribly - but was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure you will be too.

It's been nearly 20 years since I took those tests so I don't remember much...except that I thought they were incredibly easy...as with any timed test you're given more than enough time(at least it seems that way to me) read through the questions and answer all the ones you find easy first then go back to the harder ones. Don't panic about the time limit, breath and remain calm...anyone that's played sports knows a lot can happen in only 5 seconds...
When I took those tests every field in the military was open to me including nuclear technician(although I failed the technician exam by only 3 points mainly because I didn't take physics in high school)

Got a 97 on my ASVAB. It test general understanding and knowledge so it's hard to study for. I'd just make sure you're mind is at peak performance by getting plenty of sleep before the test and eating plenty of low glycemic index foods before the test.

If you want to improve your score, you have to eat 3 cans of baked beans and 6 boiled eggs before the exam.

The best thing I can help with is get online and take the practice tests. I was Army and took my test eons ago cold turkey. Recently my daughter who is working on getting into the Airforce was given by her recruiter a list of websites that had the practice tests to work with. I know that works with the ASVAB, not so sure on the other test.
The other thing, get a good nights rest the night before. You're brain will thank you after the testing.
Not so sure I'd do the bean thing before the test, some of it is timed and don't know how close the latrine is to the testing room.

My sincerest gratitude to all who offered their knowledge on the subject. I appreciate it greatly. I just took my test today and got my scores. I scored in the 98th percentile (out of 99) making me a tier one enlistee. I now can get the job I want (35T: MI Systems Maintainer Integrator) and these scores will help me in my future endeavors.
May the Force be with you,
