What is God for You. was created by
800 plus ideals about God found at http://origin.org/ucs/text/beliefs6.cfm.

Just thought some might find this interesting is all, while others may not.
Regardless thought I share this.

What is God for you?

All is God/dess. Unconditional Love is God/dess
- Raynne Zurn
In the most simple terms, I would say God is the creative force(for lack of a better word) of the universe that guides it, and all of creation.
- Hisham Zoubeir
Mother Goddess and Father God are Universal, all-loving, all-knowing consciousnesses. From Mother Goddess and Father God many Archtypes and other deities spring. "God" is also the Divine spark of life within everything... just because it is inannimate doesn't mean it is not alive on some level.
- Suraya Zoriah
The Unknowable Essence, unapproachable except through His Manifestations, the Prophet/Founders of the religions that have brought humanity the ever-evolving Word of God.
- Alexander Zoltai
God is what is a milisecond before creation. Nothingness.
- Angela Zimmerman
You.
- Peggy Zetler
I am God and so are you. Godliness is in each of us, so why do we go looking for God???
- Tashi Yuden
My creator....who loves me and guides me in my path...
- Mari Young
My friend, my guide, pain, pleasue, tears of sorrow tears of joy, knowledge, wisdom, all that I am. My God gives me love so I need not depend on others for it. My god shows me his beauty and mercy in the land and in others. God gives me strength and perserverance. God leads me to his othee children and offers me discernment. I LOVE GOD! I read his word on my own though so no onecan distort it.
- RICK YESSIAN
The point. God is beyond existence and non-existense. The term "God" is a diluted term, which attempts to define a being beyond definition.
- Paul Yambor
God is anything, visible invisible objects, existing non-existing energies, every human beings, air, water, trees, love, etc... In short god should be seen in any thing you can think.
- Ramesh Yadav
To me God is Everything, but I beleive that we primarily experience God via our Consciousness. I beleive Love is, or is a symptom of, Spiritual Consciousness.
- xxx xxx
God is what I cannot express, what transcends my ability to imagine (but not conceive...) God is what cannot be named. If I can write about it, it is not God. God is the infinite and unknowable (but eminently lovable) slake of my infinite thirst; the infinite completion of my infinite search. God is love. Love is life. Life is me. I am us. We are God. Reduced to essentials, God is all I have.
- Will Wurzel
Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who always existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Fully God and fully man, the sinless Lamb that was slain for the sins of the world.
- charlie wright
God is From whom all things come and are created by. God is the one and only God of all creation. There is no other God but the one God the Creator of all things. God is the God and Father of Abraham, Isac, Jacob AND Jesus. God is the God of the Jewish Nation his once chosen race The HOLY SPIRIT that indwells us comes from God. We who beleive are Gods holy temple. The temple of Gods Holy Spirit... GOD is the ONE to whom all thanks honour praise glory and Worship should be directed. God is my Heavenly Father
- Herb Wren
God is the ebb and flow of nature, all around us. Funny how people speak of science versus God, I see it all as one.
- Paul Woodworth
At this point in my life, and on a good day--I see God in everything. In the sunrise, the sunset, in the trees, the flowers, in the curve of a child's check. . . in my cat's ecstatic purr, in the eyes of people I meet. It is a power/force within and without.
- Lillian Woods
All that is. The I am. God is everywhere and in the void. God is a mystery. I am of God. The ways I experience God are through my senses and in my knowing.
- Elise Woods
There is no god. There is force, a natural or karmic force which ancient people did not comprehend and named as a creator to control the fears of the weaks of the unknown. We are not created by mere clay, we are no play-dough (plastercize). We are created thru the fusion of the Ying and Yang.(Male and Female) If there is god, there must be a mother, at least a surrogated mother like St Mary.
- Ah Seow Woodbridge
God is the ground of Being -- the ultimate Reality. God is the author of the universe and He alone can say "I am" or "I exist." All else in Creation exists only in His Mind. We individuals are but figments of God's imagination. He is the author; we are fictitious characters in His play.
- Robin Woo
God Is. There is nothing that which is not God. Semantically, even the term "God" is paradoxical to me, meaning that there is something by which to differentiate God from the rest of existence. God Is. I believe within Buddhism there is the doctrine of Shunyata (or Sunyata) meaning 'extinction' or 'unqualifiability,' I believe God is Unqualifiable; known only through metaphore, and other linguistice devices... but experienced as the all-pervasive One.
- william wisdom
God is......everything. Every universe, every galaxy, every sun, every planet, every animal, every person, every particle and every spirit
- Jeremy Winkworth
God is the Creative, Infinitely Loving Consciousness in the all dimensions of the multiverse, of which all sentient life partakes in some measure. Yet God is greater than the combination of all sentient life within this multiverse, being infinitely greater than the square of the sum of Its parts.
- Richard Wing
The Divine Being. The creator and redeemer of the world. A friend who truly loves unconditionally.
- Jim Wiltbank
God is the all-pervading spirit or life-force. It is the ultimate embodiment of love, power and dignity. This reality can be experienced on a very intimate, personal level.
- Michael Wilson
I believe in a dual system. There is both a god and a goddess. They created the world and help us to co-create our lives when we ask them.
- Norma Wills
God is unfathomable by the human mind, can only be perceived throught the vision of Core Self, Love, Soul perception and expression of these. God is like the center, and the content and the rim of an eternal circle. Our individual pathways are like the many spokes of the wheel which either flow into one another at the circumference or join in oneness at the core.
- Linda Willows
God is Great Mystery, ultimately beyond my knowing. I experience goddesses and gods, animal helpers, powers of the four directions, spirit guides, spirits of nature as guides and teachers as I journey on the Earth in this lifetime.
- Barbara Williamson
Unconditional Love
- Rev. Patricia Williams
God is pure, unconditional love
- Nancy Williams
The Christian Trinty
- Hugh Williams
I wish it'd given the option to select "I don't know". I believe is something, I believe there is a collective conciousness, or a supreme being of some sort, but I'd not dare to claim to know what it is. I don't know if it's in a human form, with body and face, or if it is a big ball of energy. The easiest way for me to explain how I see God is this: Your conscience is God. The truth is inside you, if you choose to listen.
- RJ Williams
God is the only Being there is. Divine Mind, Infinite and cannot realy be defined because a definition would limit or put limitation on God. For God is undefinable as far as labels and restrictions and is the unlimited source and power in the Universe - The I AM THAT I AM. Some desciptive attributes would be Life, Light, Energy, Substance, Good, Peace, Mercy and more!!!
- Stephanie Williams
The entire Universe. Which also displays consciousness, communication and character, in moments of mystical rapture.
- K Williams
Deity/Kali
- Brandon Wilhite
God is part of that channel of light i pray to. God is the one who carries the load when it gets to heavy. I call "him" "God" because it personelises what is so unbelievable light, infinite, grand, within and without. That which I cannot really explain because words seem so incomplete. It is the place, condition, consciousness we all live towards, whether on this earth or not. It is where we all meet and unite in peace and love.
- Eva Wilhelm
God is a Great Mystery that no 1 person of group can totally understand as we are not there yet.
- coo wild she dingo
God is a force that gives order, and therefore meaning, to the universe.
- Dean Wilber
God is Universal Energy, all creation - all that is.
- Janette Frances Wighton
I know God as an energy everywhere in all including myself. In an interview I did with Quentin Crisp he put it quite eloquently when he said"If God were the universe that enclosed the universe, Or the cell within the cell, Or the cause behind the cause that I could believe." I don't know anyone that believes an old man in the sky myth.
- Cheryl Whitestone
God, like Love is the Sacred, indefinable Essence of all that is; we cannot discover God, only live the Miracle of Creation. Nature is the dynamic force of God Relations.
- Thomas White
God is the Creating Force. S/He is physics and faith, science and philosophy, rationality and creativity in One.
- Wendy Whipple
God is for me the Universel Power, the Father/Mother Creator, the Light and the Love.
- Chris Wernli
God is for me father/mother who watches over me, guides me and leads me back when ever I'm lost....The ONE who I can allways trust in any way!
- Franziska Wernli
Beyond any words
- iwkjer werfqawed
God is the One behind the many. God alone is real, all else appears to be real (Maya). God is the soul of all that lives: atoms (gas), stone, metal, vegatation, worms and insects, birds, animals, women and men, angels, archangels and all else that has life, in any world. God is in me, as me, (unconscious) and in the Avatar (Christ), and Perfect Masters (as Infinitely Consciousness). The Avatar has come as Zarathustra, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed, Meher Baba, and many others.
- Laurent Weichberger
According to Meher Baba there are ten principal states of God, as described in his book God Speaks. These begin with the "Beyond-beyond state of God" about which , he says, nothing can be described, and continue to "Beyond state of God" (Allah, Paramatma, God the Father) and continue further to Creator, Preserver, Destoryer (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva), and further into the soul in Creation, through various states of Evolution, then the soul as Human, then the soul as spiritually advanced human, and then the soul as Self-realized (God realized), then the soul of the Perfect Master who has returned to serve those bound in illusion. I believe in these ten primary states, and also believe in other states, such as angels, and archangels, etc.
- Laurent Weichberger
God is the Alpha and the Omega, He is my all and all. He is my life, because if it was not for him I would not be here today!!
- LaTonya Webb
My conscience is God inside me speaking to me, assisting me & guiding me. On a greater level when I see the vastness of the ocean or the unique qualities of a cloud pattern decorating one spot in time, thus connecting my spirit to others around the world, I feel & see God.
- Kelli Weaver
God is a part of all life. I believe that all gods are a part of the same Universal Deity, or spirit, whatever you would like to call it. This Deity has many facets, or faces. This Deity adapts itself to your beliefs so that you can find comfort in your religion. It may appear as one or more, male, female, gay, straight, black, white, whatever helps you feel closer to Deity... therefore....all religions are "right", as long as they are right for you.
- Many Waters
God is the All. There is nothing that is not God.
- Patrick Walthall
To me, God is not a mental exercise but rather an emotional/spiritual understanding best approached in simplicity. I consider our creator to be plural, (Elohim) meaning family. He is in the process of creating us in His image, (Let us make man in our image) Jesus the Christ was the (first born among many bretheren) our big brother, so to speak. The Holy Spirit was given to empower us to become sons of God as the scripture says.
- James Walters
The creator, the ultimate consciousness
- Dee Walter
I believe God is Pure Love and very much apart of us.God is us and we are God.We are God and God is us.
- Randolph Walter
"God" for me is the Unifying Force of the Universe, similar to the Tao of Eastern thought. There have also been "gods," perhaps ET visitors, or elemental spirits, or something else, which have influenced Human History. These are also the province of those who do magick.
- Charles Waibel
Creativity and Consciousness of the Known and Unknown.
- Thomas Wahl
A divine interconnectedness between all that "is", establishing a preciousness of all creation, which necessitates respect for all beings (plant AND animal)and the physical environment in which we interact, as well as the consciousness/awareness aspects of sentient life.
- Rich Wadsworth
God is the Universe and Beyond.
- Sophia W.
God is a living being and presence that is with and around and within us at all times. She or He can give us guidance when we need it, when we ask for it, but we must be aware to listen carefully for answers that we may or may not wish to here. I have no actual names or terms
- lynn w
God for me is mystery, enrgy. The power of creativity within myself and without.
- Carole Volcy
Nature is every thing. It is the 'ALL'. And the entire cosmos is ALIVE. God is a myth that denies NATURE it's due respect.
- Nature Vill
For me God is the beginning of life, kind of like a mystery to be revealed only when Jesus comes back. But he is love, always love and understanding
- Glenda Vidal
God is the Supreme Being that I want to return to.
- Sanjayan Velautham
For me God is the most magnificent mental creation of man.
- Frater Velado
God is another word for All people need to give a name to things
- jean vanhove
All reality. I don't have a personal relationship with God - it is a mystery, like the origin of the universe.
- John Van Wagoner
God can be described only via negativa, that is, by stating what God is not. That said, what is foremost for me is that God is not a static entity; another way to state this is captured by the title of the book "God Is a Verb." God is what happens in the interstices between beings who are in relationship; God is what happens between the artist's palette and the paper; God is what happens the moment of birth and in the moment of death, in our breathing in and breathing out. There is nothing that is not God, and there is nothing that is separate from God.
- Medora Van Denburgh
Yes, i know there is a universal force with intelligence of its own that directs all that is. I am made up of that essense, as all life is. My life force comes with me when I am born. It is my job to connect with that force through my life experience. The life force is accessable from without and from within. Only when the two connect within me, by my choices, will the essence of me be available to guide me in my day to day living. That is life force in action. That essence is available within all. Using the principles of love, compassion, acceptance, truth and appreciation bring it to the surface. Using principles of fear, anger, upset and separation drive it inside deeper. We learn in the most perfect way. Either contrast will bring it. One takes alittle longer than the other. Our choices and learning are accepted as the grandest expression of who we are at any given moment with the life force supporting possibility of new wonderous way at any time.
- Kay Van Alstyne
A part of myself that I am alway's seeking to upgrade
- Joe Vallo

God is the goodness in everyone of us. God is unconditional love.
- Martha Truitt
God is Love
- Gloria E. Tripp
A love without limits.
- R. Tracy
God is Goddess. The Goddess is the sum total of all the spiritual power raising from balanced humans, other animals, plants, the earth, the stars/sun/moon/planets. Because She is the sum of us, we are part of Her, we are Her, but She transcends us. She is both ourselves and seperate from ourselves, if that makes any sense...
- Alice Torbert
Love.
- Bucky Toofiss
God for me was always seen as a being of pure light that can change that light so it's not too intense for some being like me. This made me able to be very close to God. He is very nice person that always told me the truth and always told me what can not be said entirely about the truth if anything is missing from it. I have met God much and talked with him, his son and Archangels along with angels.
- Adam Tobiasz
God is a spritual being (neither he nor she) that we believe in. God is the good in this world gone aray. I used to be angry at God but I still believed. God has helped me overcome that. I have had a couple of awesome experiences, that I can honestly say could only happen because of God. I believe that God has no special religion, that God treats all of us alike. I believe that God makes us whole again when we are ill and pass over, and that God can take better care of us in the home above when we return spritually.
- Yvonne Titus
God is that which has been from all eternity, the source of love and of life. We are facets of God while in this life, and it is our purpose to reconcile ourselves to God and to experience God in our own unique way. Ultimately, each of us will provide our God-experience to all others in creation, creating a new wholeness, and an even more profound bond to The One. A 'by-product' of this is and will be the creation of bonds of love and understanding between all sentient beings.
- Sherry Thompson
The spark of Grace in everyone. The forces of nature
- Roy Thomason
the Divine One Within
- Rick Thatcher
God has several meanings for me. I will give the first one now. God is Spirit. It is the cause of life. God is what everything has come from. God is the beginning and end of everything, because there is nothing that is not alive without God making it so.
- Tony Terry

God is a power, greater than myself, that is pro-active in my life. The God of my understanding takes many forms, and may find expression in many ways.
- Sharon Sylvester
I believe in One Supreme, Omnipotent and Omniscient Spirit Who is Source and Sum of all existence, Whose original creative word of Light called being out of Nothing, and in whose Immortal image is made man.

God is/are "some-one" whom would lead you to a better live
- Andiko Suselo
God is something more than I am. I do not pretend to know what god is or is`nt.
- Jerome Sunley Jr.
God is All There Is. We are merely holographic images expressing in unique ways. Most of all, God is Love. Expressing love expresses God within.
- Amanda Summers
All of our physical world every element every atom of the whole universe is of our creator. Time space and other dimensions all are from the one God. As a gift he gave our souls a life to live here on this planet at this time in the history of the earth.
- Carrie Sue Suldovsky
Spirit of Love
- Star Stuffs
All consciousness is Oiai`o, or Dark Matter. Oiai`o is so ponderous, that His gravity "closes" the Universe and makes for the end of time. Now, the blue shifted stars will turn red when the Created World is half way done. Then end in a Big Implosion, where even Light itself is consumed. In Huna, the is: "La Pina`i" The Redemption of Light".
- Lani Stucker
A supremely intelligent creative force of which all Creation is a part; actuated through Love: (respect for all of Creation, acceptance of individualty, Unity of purpose in growth and development)
- Ronald Story
"God" is the lover and consort of the Goddess. He is the Sun, the sustainer of life. He is the MAsculine aspect of the whole. As well as this "God"
- John Storey
god is a energy form
- michael stolte
Most akin to "The Force." "God" is whatever keeps the planets spinning and the grass growing and everything moving and changing. Not believing in "God" is, to me, like not believing in gravity. Doesn't matter if you "believe" or not. It exists.
- Judy Stokes
The term is problematic. None of the usual theistic attributes apply. However, if the universe is all that exists then God is at least that. Maybe more...
- Gary Stilwell
Life, the Universe and Everything.
- Georgia Stewart
My belifes have changed alot in past 6 yrs. Now i see things in a new way, I belive man is deathless We do not cross over into some vast place of forever. We coexest with God and the universe, We were made in his image (SPIRT) Mortal mind or matter have no life to lose and inmortal mind or spirt never dies. Matter is of the flesh and is our false self. Spirt is of God and is the true self. Mortal mind is the origenator of lie Error is the so called mortal mind, sin and mortality are without actuall existence, they are a negitive nothingness.
- sheryl stewart
A non-judgemental, impersonal force that animates all things. I believe that all life is a reflection of this god-stuff.
- nichole stephens
My Higher Power to whom I relate and converse. Someone to talk to. Someone who listens. Someone I ask for help. Someone I thank for everything I have.
- Skip Stein
The creator and the creation
- Christophe Steiger
God is for me someone, who can materialise Himself/Herself/Itself and comes to us, whenever He/She/It desires. God can exist in the same time at the different places.
- Ivana Stefanova
God/dess manifests themselves in many ways, through us, through nature, family, community, healing, love, etc. We are never seperate from this higher power and all of its manifestations.
- Paula Steele
It is a great power of creation, energy, that also exist within us.
- Hope Star
God is the Almighty; the Creator of everything. The great spiritual Force of the Universe.
- John Stansell, Jr.
God/dess for me is a mixture of things. Deity is the spirit in everything from gods and goddesses to everything in nature. Deity is the idea of the driving force behind all existence and all consciousness. You could call it Supreme Being or the Divine.
- Maya St.Clair
The Source from which all that we know springs. It is Everything. Nothing does not contain it, and there is nothing that It does not contain. The Creator cannot be separated from the Creation. Each Creation has all the characteristics and potenialities of the Creator. It is delicately aware of every single consciousness, every being, because it IS every being. It grows, learns, and develops THROUGH us...and we are growing into what It is. We are Gods in the making... It can quite accurately be said that we are thoughts of God, however, we must also realize that our OWN thoughts continue to grow and develop as we do. We are Creators too, without even realizing it.
- Tydyn Rain St. Clair
God is everything. The Earth, the Universe, people, and animals are from and apart of God.
- Nicole Sportsman
I feel that there is a higher being that each person perceives in their own way. I personally perceive this higher being as a God & a Goddess. My personal choice of the Goddess is Brighid.
- Crystalline Spiritwalker
God is that which is outside of my "self" ... iow, all that is beyond my control is a manifestation of God ... and my control extends no further than my skin. God is the integrating principle cordinating all that is. As such, all of us are a part of the manifestation of God ... especially for others. God is also the source of knowledge and wisdom that is available for all who seek it ... and that I tap into when "working" with people ... when acting as the "hollow bone" channel in healing.
- Larry Spiritspeaker
God is an 'energy' that is all around us and inside us. I feel it is one of our quests to unite our energies, both outside, inside and with others. We are capable of such wonderful things. Our energies, when focused can accomplish amazing things.
- silver spirit
God is the creator, the all knowing, all loving, all forgiving, all understanding. Whatever we need he is.
- Barbara Spillers
GOD is the ultamit power of creation.
- Andrea Spilholtz
My perception of God changes often. The easier way to describe my perception of "God", is to describe what my perception of God is not. I do not pray to God. I don't blame God when ugly things happen. God does not "make" things happen. The world around us, the seen and unseen, allow miracles to happen or it/they don't. Things happen when they happen or not.
- Krishanna Spencer
God is the Ultimate Reality that exists through, in, and beyond the multiverse. God is the source of everything positive in existence.
- Aaron Sowards
Interesting question. I perceive "God" as a mix of things. In some ways I see God within nature, but also God within the force of good. My perception of God is very abstract.
- Matthew Sorenson
Creator of all that is; all things bound together by his/her love; mysterious; intimate, loving presence within; merciful, does not judge, does not condemn; source of peace and wisdom; healer
- Bonnie Smith
I believe that all gods ultimately lead to the one Great Spirit. I honor each faith as a path to divinity. I personally recognize all spiritual deities as expressions, as we and all life are expressions of that one great power that is the Life Force Consciousness. I believe I AM that force, as you are, as are all things. Being conscious of this I am therefore a steward of all life and I strive to be one with that stewardship through my thoughts, words, actions and deeds.
- Scott K Smith

Before the world began, there was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were made through him. Nothing was made without him. In him there was life. That life was light for the people of the world. The Light shines in the darkness. And the darkness has not overpower the Light. The Holy Bible - John Chapter 1 verses 1-5.
- Boyd Smith
God, for me, is the experience of deep connection through the purified consciousness, with the profound essence of soul, wisdom, light and manifest creation.
- Cheryl Smith
Love, peace, understanding, sunshine, thunder, life happening around us
- Dawn Smith
God, the Father. He is the creator of all that was, is, and will be. The very fact that the cosmos exsists is proof of the Father. If one believes in the Big Bang Theory, there had to be some pre-exsistant entity to "light the match". Catch the drift? Our ability to love, is also direct evidence of God. For He is the essence of love. God and Love are completely and 110% synonomus.
- Scott Smith
God is the creator of all things. God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Mother) to all of us. Although God is portrayed in many different ways by many different paths, the underlying factor is that God is God. Our creator, our friend, our benefactor and at times our judge. The most important truth of God is that God is Love, and Love best expressed in unconditional (Agape)
- John Slevin
The Supreme Being is the author of all existence, all that is. All that exists continues to exist because of the Deity's continued will that it be so. That you and I continue is due to God's continued love for us, God's creation.
- Clifford Skevos-Jones
God (Netjer) is one united, universal divine force. Netjer in this form is Tem (or Atum), "The Complete One." Netjer also divided Him/Her/ItSelf up into the thousands and millions of gods and goddesses that human beings worship.
- Tamara Siuda
The source of the energy, the alpha and the omega.
- dharmasani siregar
Truth is not what you believe, so drop all your beliefs, concept, ideas about God all are mind creation and mind is a tiny to realise the vast. When you reall become innocent like a child then you are to see the Real. No believe is needed.
- Palani Sinnathamby
GOD IS LOVE.Its a invisible power with no form...but when experienced...it stamps it mark on ones soul.
- Suk Singh
God is the unknown and unknowable creator and sustainer of all the universes and everything else. God is not a man in the sky, nor is God male or female. God is IS (and that is not a misprint, if you know what "is" means, you may know what I mean.)
- DJ Sinepstar
God is what is. You can be no more separate from God than you can be separate from yourself or your Self. God is the Universe in all it's beauty and simplicity/complexity. There are no real words to describe.
- Northman Sinclair
Simply God is the creating sustaining power and intelligence of the universe, going by many names!!
- Elzie Simons
God is a divine force, which is both male and female, yet neither. TO give it a name, form, or gender, limits our understanding and relationship with it, our Creator. Creator is my best friend, I see the balance of beauty and harshness in everything, such as a desert, which seems so inhospitable from afar, till explored from closer views, to appreciate it's delicate beauty. I also like to call this being, "That which is," though it sounds awkward.
- Ariel SilverSpirit
God is the masculine form of deity. He is father, teacher, elder, warrior, sage, grandfather. I hope someday I'll be friends with God again.
- Maeve Silverfire
The Creator of everything and the essence of knowledge and wisdom.
- Joanne Silva
For me God is Spirit, beyond comprehension or description, fully present within creation yet fully beyond creation. God is experienced primarily through Love.
- Mark Sills
God is a feeling I have, an inner knowlege that there is a pure highest energy and love. It is possible to feel it within ourselves.
- Lori Siervogel-Ross
God is a powerful metaphor for the transcendant. Often God can be mistaken for the metaphor, but really this term represents something that is transcendant and immanent in all of us. As we continue to develop a inner complexity, we may access more of this "Presence" in our lives. A flow may emerge as live can become very ALIVE and full of WONDER. God is obviously many things to many different people.
- Baron Short
God to me is the universal intelligence that is. God incompasses all. God is the whole of all the many parts we call the universe. God is the container of our collective conscienceness.
- carol shoot

For me, God is our planet - Gaia. A consequence of this is that I don't believe that God is some "supreme being", but just that which have created us. Further I believe there is a force present everywhere, similar to the concept of Dao, but to call this "God" would in my meaning be wrong, since this is no personal thing.

God is the origin of everything. God is in and through all, in, as, around, through and for each person. God is Divine Intelligence. God is perfect. God is all there is. God includes man. God is Goodness and God is Love. ...for a good beginning!

To me there are many faces of God. God is the creative intelligence and force behind and in... all of creation on all levels (material, astral, causal, etc). He is within us as well as within every atom everywhere. *He* is only used for simplicity's sake as I feel he is both male and female. God became the many at one point (us). As we evolve, our concept of God evolves I believe. He embodies all faiths or ways of *seeing* him from rock and money worshipping to different religions and paths depending on the soul's lesson in that incarnation.
- Renee Serrano
God is what people make it to be. It can be a deity, a spirit, or nothing at all. It can be right or wrong. It can be suffering or happiness. We must choose. For me, it is the bright light at the end of my soul. I just have to tap that light to feel it's power. God is not sentient to me. It is just a force of ethereal essence that is present when needed in my most trying times.
- Joel Serrano
God is Energy--the force that makes the world go around, the seasons change, causes the phases of the moon, gives power to the ocean, gentleness to the wind, life to all things. God is the Energy that lives in all people, in the very center of our beings. God is The Source.

I don't believe that God is either man or wwoman but both together. I never really believed in him until March 1992. I had a break down and I needed to know if there was truely a God or if he was just something man made up for his own ends. I asked for a sign and got it. I have a set of Rosery beads that were grey in colour and I asked for two of the beads beside each other to be changed to another colour. Two of the beads are now light blue and are beside each other and for this reason I believe there is a God. God is unconditional love. He sends help in different forms eg; through other people who gives us help and support when we need it and even when we think we don't need it.

God is a Spirit and a Being-force, a natural phenomenon that operates on each cognizant being, like humans, through the unconscious mind. The conscious mind is only a problem solving machine. But inspiration and deeper understandings come from the deeper unconscious mind. The ultimate purpose of God is to unite all beings with Itself. This essay will explain how I perceive God: The Nature of God.
- Steve Schlarb
We think that we humans are unable to understand what God realy is! But we know that God created a plan for the evolution of our planet Earth and a pattern for every life on Earth, that should be fulfilled. If we go through this process of growth through our lives, we will learn to understand the ways to approach God. We will learn that the only way to God (or as we call it, THE LIGHT) is the WAY OF LOVE, which is hard to understand, because it is not a way of sentimental attachment.

Deity is everything. It is the essence of life itself. It's what gives Magick it's power, and the Gods their form. It's what gives us life. Deity is non-sentient.

God is all encompassing. There is no separation. However, I feel from my own experience that at times it is beneficial to see God as other. For example, even though I know God as all inclusive, I like to worship God in singing and dance and that requires seeing a subject and and object, you and God, otherwise there would be no one to worship.

That is a very complicated answer and I will explain it in the best way I can. In general I don't believe in a typical God format, but of Entity that surpases the knowledge that we have currently. I can kinda see it as a Grid type of entity where there comes many gods and entity/spritual forms, in which we (humans souls & other souls from this world) can more easily contact individual gods & goddesses that help out further our knowledge and steps. Currently I'm attracted to the Celtic gods/goddesses, pantheons, spirits & entities which is my spirtual string to this 'Grid' format I imagine. I see that everyone has a connection to this 'Grid' is some way and it's right for them only and their form of 'God' is what helps them be connected to all life forms.

God is the single Absolute Mind in which everything "lives, moves, and has its being." All else that exists, exists as "thought" in the Divine Mind, which actively creates the objects of Its thought. Roughly, God is what there would still be even if there weren't anything else.

God is the creator of all things, the truth is that he exist, to what degree can only be made of speculation or of faith in the doctrines of our brethern. However, nontheless, there is a God of all things, he in the end, will decide the outcome of all things, just as he decided to create all things to begin with. I understand that in life, we will suffer and die, under our sins, but this is because the reward is much greater than non existance, in God's eye to not exist is worse, to exist and overcome evil and deception and the our limits is the only true way to reach Enlightenment, and the faith in God, in the end will bring us to salvation.

I cannot believe in an external God, if there was one, he would need explaining, he would presumably have been created from something. I feel that what the majority of people who worship a God worship, is what i think of as Spirit. But not Something in whose image i have been created. Spirit, as i see it, is an intrinsic part of the Universe, it is to the Universe as heat is to fire, an integral aspect of it. It needs no worshipping. It just is.

God or The God Force and The Original Creator are actually two different concepts within Solist Mysticism. The God Force is the infinite spiritual energy spectrum of Spiritual White Light that a soul can unite with when in the Spirit, the degree of which is determined by its evolutionary development. Solist Mystics beleive that The Original Creator/Lord Alpha was the first God Realized being that all souls originally came from and are what is left of, i.e., all souls contain within them the Divine Spark. The Original Creator did not create Universal Law or The God Force, but worked within the framework of Universal Law in order to eventually embrace rarefied God Realized development. After manifesting The Big Bang billions of years ago, Lord Alpha willfully, completely and irrevocably divided His consciousness up into souls of basic spirituality, referred to as angels. His plan was that a small number of those angels would someday evolve into God Realization and seek Him out through astral time travel. His plan is working...

God is the word in the English language for the Creator. Each language has its own word for the same Creator; i.e., Allah, Bhagwan, Dieu, Wakan-Tanka, but the Source is the same. Human language cannot adequately describe God. God is exalted beyond all description. Conveniently, our language helps us to convey some, extremely limited idea about God's true nature.

I don't believe, that God is Creator and that all around us is create by Him. God is only a Big Source of Love; Endless Love; never Interrupted Love; and therefrom all has come. I like to phrase things of the spirit in story terms; here's my personal creation myth: In the beginning, there was only One. Imagine a vast cloud of opalescent spiderweb, through which, and down whose strands, race flickers of lightning, or imagine a ball of fire, with billions upon billions of eyes, or a child with brilliant starscapes whirling through her body. The One was raw potential, animate Spirit, unformed creativity, a single entity made up of infinite uniquenesses, each one a part of the whole, and yet distinct, as a hand and a foot are both parts of a body, yet distinct from one another. Each one of those uniquenesses contained within it an echo of the whole, as a hand and a foot each bear the DNA of the entire body. And within this One, this Spirit, a desire slowly grew: a desire to not only contain all these many bits, but to truly know them all. And so, in a burst of laughter, and joy, and pain, the One unraveled itself, and set each uniqueness to the task of becoming, both entirely itself, and entirely aware of every other uniqueness. We are still becoming. We take on different forms, and different tasks, in different places, in order to learn both what we are, and what those around us are – that is, we are born and reborn, time and time again, and each time, we choose what form we will take, and what tasks we will set ourselves. We try to understand each part of that great Spirit that we find, learn it, find the echo of it inside of us. With each new bit that we learn, we, the parts, recreate more of the greater Whole. As human beings, we accept the boundaries placed on our spirits by our separate bodies in order both to learn about matter and the things (touch, smell, taste) which matter, by way of bodies, makes possible, and to force ourselves to be aware of those things which are still outside our ken by creating a literal, physical distinction between what is "me" and what is "you." When another person says, or believes, something that is foreign to us, we must endeavor to learn, and understand, that belief. We need not share it; we are, after all, unique, but we need to be aware of it, because we are, after all, all parts of the same Whole. When we form relationships with people, what we are doing is trying to create a "them" shaped place inside our skin, as they do the same. That place is not a hollow; it is shaped by its filling. We make them a part of ourselves, or recognize the part of ourselves that is them, as we learn more and more about them. It may be a part of ourselves that we think is wrong, or uncomfortable, or very different from the bits that we manifest as our unique selves, but it is, nonetheless, a part of ourselves, just as it would be wrong for the DNA in a cell of the foot to manifest the characteristics of a cell of the heart, but it contains the coding for those characteristics, nonetheless. To deny that any person is not a part of us, however foreign they may feel, or to be afraid of the uniqueness which they represent, is as absurd, and ultimately pointless as for a foot cell to deny that it shares the DNA of a heart cell, or to be afraid of the heart cell’s unique properties. It is, however, equally true, that, in order to allow for all the unique aspects of the greater Whole, we must accept that any number of seemingly contradictory notions of Truth may all be, simultaneously, true. To claim that there is only one Truth is as absurd, and ultimately pointless, as for a foot cell to claim that, because it shares the DNA of a heart cell, they must be identical. What it comes down to, in more prosaic terms is this: Each of us is a part of "God," and "God" is a part of each of us. There is no reason to be afraid to try and know each other. There is no reason not to celebrate our uniquenesses, and rejoice in our strange similarities. There is no reason not to live our lives in love with each other.

I don't believe in God in the traditional Christian or Catholic sense. . . instead, I view the word "God" as an awkward and rather improper reference to the ultimate, underlying reality of our universe and it's existence. As is implied by the Upanishads: "Brahman cannot be said to exist - Brahman, is existense itself." and let us not forget the words of Lao Tzu: "The Tao that can be spoken, is not the eternal Tao. The name that can be named, is not the eternal name."

God is central principle- in our language, an acronym of three Hebrew words meaning strength, wisdom, beauty, in theosophy a confluence of the 7 key ray principles as evidently manifested. A supra-personality definition, as you like, a WHAT rather than a personality-limited WHO. I do beleive in G-O-D inspired masters, who in some cultures have been referred to as 'Gods'- an unfortunate misrepresentation for the victims of psychotic evangelicals, but quite understandible. Thus in the next section I could list some higher plane personalities, rather than names...

Difficult to answer. 1st of all I do not like to use the term God because it carries with it certain assumptions & attachments which are individual, culture & religeous biased. I prefer to use a term that tends to be neutral, not offend & cover all beliefs. I'll get to that below. I picture 'God' as both a personnal & non personnal love being. A love being with a personality for the former. The latter, the whole workings of the universe I believe to be God. I see God in all things & beings. I see God as a total love being who adjusts to each persons level of understanding to reveal the Godself which can account for the numerous religeons. Each religeon(true) is only one aspect of the infinite ways/forms/understandings of God. I do not see God as unapproachable due to sin etc nor do I see one having to go through all kinds of rituals, sacrifice, pennance etc to reach God. I do not see God as any particular sex. This could go on for awhile. So here is the short version. I see God as LOVE which is everywhere, in all beings(regardless of form or type) & in all the ways of the unverse. The ALL & the NOTHING/VOID.

Belief and knowledge mean two different things. As one who lives for logical understandings, I strive for knowledge rather than blind belief. This may sound antithetical to those to ascribe to the concept of "the Unknowable"...but what I have found is that the more I connect the dots, the more the picture makes perfect sense, and once the template of the Universe is conceptualized, the rest falls into place gradually, without difficulty. The Truth IS out there.....right under our noses.

Oh yeah, so to answer the question, "What is God for you?" Well, I got up this morning and ate some Crispix, so I guess God to me is someone that needs to eat.

That is very interesting Scott777ab...

What is God?

My opinion... Each person’s understanding of “God” is based on their personal experience. If they have not had a personal experience then they may rely on books or others interpretation to create their own; or they may not believe at all.

For me, I have seen the face of “God.” And I have learnt to recognize it in all creation.

God (whom I call the Force) to me is still a mystery, and will probably always be. All I know for sure is that the Force is all things. I am part of the Force, though certainly not all of it. But the true nature of the Force and where it will take me and the rest of its parts is unknown, and I am still discovering more every day.

I enjoyed reading through those. Some of them I liked and agreed with.
Those who said that God is in each of us and all around us. All of nature is God. All the good parts of everything.
