One, we all make allowances for people we love. Second, he doesn't smoke outside of his home, doesn't drive stoned, and, most importantly, has never put me in a compromising situation. All the potheads I have turned in have been those whose habits have affected me or people I care about.

Is your current aviator a photo of your daughter Star Forge? She's lovely. Thank you for the explanation.

No problem, and thanks a ton.

Yep, at the end of this long thread, I'm finally exposed as a hypocrite. :)

So perhaps decriminalize possession for adults, ban commercial production, heavily tax importation, and increase testing in schools, workplaces, roadside etc and use the health system to address the health problems with addiction instead of the prison system.

They do some of these things with cigarettes in the UK. result: black market cigarettes. while some are imported from the EU, many are made in small labs in the UK. One of these cigarettes does to the smoker what 20 packs of the real brand would do.

For certain rugs, regulation seems to be the right way. For other drugs... considering what they do to people, and that they would remain highly addictive and expensive (even if legally imported and untaxed), they will necessarily lead to crime. I don't want my nan to be assaulted because a junkie needs their fix.

Certain things just can't be tolerated, that's why we have a complex system in place to criminalize/prevent/punish those acts.

So I take it you adopted?

Indeed. Why choose a pretty Uyghur girl as an avatar when you can have an old guy with a molten plastic face wearing a funny hat? :silly:

Never said that was my daughter. The rest of you did. I actually put that up on a whim, was from an anthropology class project I did way back when I was a sophomore. Nah, should have used logic on your own part, lass. That girl is too old to be my daughter, unless I got a very early start. My start was already early enough. I do have a daughter though, but Allah smite me if I post her pic online for the world to see. She is cute, though.

Though there is a Uyghur man at my mosque, and I do like them a lot.

I'm 25, my daughter's 7, if you were wondering.

I think the confusion was when Br. John said his daughter was lovely and Star Forge responded with "thanks a ton." I know that made me think he was saying that the girl in the photo was his daughter.

Nah, but that photo does sorta remind me of her. My girl, like the girl in the picture, looks super white but with mildly Asiatic features due to being 1/4 Sami. Sorry for the confusion. In lieu of having a pic of my girl here, I will nonetheless accept the compliments!

Ren, when you talk about a cig that is the equivalent of many cigs, do you mean just in toxicity or in effect? Because, if it's like the nicotine of a whole pack or so in one single cig, I might be making a trip to the UK soon.
