[8:35 AM] Zeth Windwrecker: As a final note on this wonderful ceremony, I would like to paraphrase one of my favorite monologues from the Lord of the rings: Two Towers movie. I do so in order to demonstrate what I believe is the most important trait of any spiritual path.

[8:36 AM] Zeth Windwrecker: These spiritual paths are similar to the great stories, my friends.
The stories that really mattered.
Full of darkness and danger they were,
and sometimes you did not want to know the end.
Because how could the end be happy?

How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad happened?

But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, these shadows.

Even the darkness must pass.

A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer.

Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why.

But I think that on this day, I finally do understand.

Folks in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, and yet they never did.

It is because they were holding on to something important. In this universe of chaotically colliding particles, we all need something important to hold onto until the very end.
