Pretty interesting video to accompany it...

I might have to check out the hour long documentary....

There are lots of sites out in the world, "expanding the mind"...

This article, to me, pretty much talks about the "father" of the "brain washing" of our society....

How, the "ego" was fed... And, whether or not it was intentional, it lead to our forgetting we are all connected...

Jestor, I would recommend Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. It's pulitzer prize winning, and a phenomenal book! It deals with the development of societies across the world. It has a chapter detailing the use of Kleptocracy (ruling through fear) to mold the peoples' lives. It includes using religion as a means of disarming the masses. Talk about government mind control.

What you are describing, ruling through fear, still allows folks to bond...

Survivors have a "shared experience" to commiserate about, and bond over...

Whereas Bernays broke us up, and made us long for objects to feel good about ourselves...

Bernays broke the "connection", the bond...

Survivors of mass control of groups, hope for all of the victims to be safe or rescued...

Where Bernays still seperates us through these means, those that use his techniques, still want us seperated... So I want the new iPhone, I want the furby, levi jeans, corvette, air jordans...

Only some of us, are starting to escape, and hope for the others...

Ah, poor extroverts are so easily manipulated....I used to watch a show about this sort of stuff and the host was a "mentalist" and specialized in hypnosis...I watched it with my brother (the only family member I have with equal intelligence scores) , he's an extrovert and I'm an introvert....we watched to see if any of the mentalist tricks would work....most of them worked on my brother with the exception being a couple of the subliminal message tricks...none of them worked on me...not one, because every time he used one, my mind would ask "why?" And immediately begin working on solving it...at the end if the show the host explained about the difference between introverts and extroverts...he also pointed out how marketing firms utilize the extroverts opennes to suggestion in order to drive markets....I've always been introverted, never bought anything just because others have it...in fact I've never done anything that was considered popular...I'm always out of fashion...but who cares....I'm happy with the few things I have...
