I lack belief in beings such as deities. However I've come to respect energy as a religious center of focus. In adding to an altar I would personally recommend including representations of nature and the energy within nature, be it in fire, water, earth, electricity, and etc. as well as your own life force which will be present whenever you are of course.

Covering all of nature would, in my opinion, cover most deities from most mythologies. Just a thought.

May the Force be with you,
Rai

A deity is just a way to contextualize something that is ultimately beyond our knowing. If nature elements speak to you more than roman gods, more than the abrahamic god, more than the tao, great. You are finding the context for the force that appeals to your sensibilities.

also I saw you at occultforum.org

they're actually not bad at that site and have a fairly active section devoted to your question. Just drop them a line.
