I know, I understand I don't know where other people are in life, and that others do not see things the way I do, I am mad at me for falling back to that instinct and getting angry over it.

Slightly salty at myself that this thread was my greatest contribution so far.

I'm really bloody done with this stuff now. There may be no lockdown but there may as well be. Feel like I'm suffocating in my own home.

Bit disappointed I am the last person to use this thread... anyway...

Women's health is not taken seriously enough. Side effects on a medication I'm taking don't include effects on women's hormones, and yet a 5 minute search shows widespread side effects. When we're 50% of the population, why is our health less important? I think of all the times I've been dismissed by doctors and it makes me so angry.

It is amazing how after all the progress has been made in terms of womens rights, that medicine still gets most of its information from male subjects.

My wife has informed me of this many times, and we are making strides to help women in our community seek out proper healthcare!

unfortunately, there are 2 things happening as far as I have researched into for some time: 1) Medicine has used the male body as the foundation of studies historically; and 2) The medical field is as biased as civilian society when it comes to people of color and women. I will say that thanks to world wide connections with the internet in today's world, it is not only becoming more obvious that these biases exist, but the harm they continue to pose for people. The medical field slowly wakes up to these issues, but it is waking up. Old habits are hard to break.
