When I posted in the MMA thread it got me thinking about what music other Jedi listen to when they work out.

(I like to check out the songs other people post in the hopes of maybe finding a gem to download for myself....so, really, this is just a selfish question I'm asking with an ulterior motive, haha.)

I'll go first. There are dozens and dozens I shuffle through, so here is just a sampling (and don't be judging me too harshly on the strange mix this is):

More Human Than Human -- White Zombie
Dirty Day, Elevation, Vertigo -- U2
Bullet With Buttefly Wings, Zero -- Smashing Pumpkins
Dragula -- Rob Zombie
Killing in the Name -- Rage Against the Machine
Turn It Up -- Paris Hilton (yes....I have a Paris Hilton song)
Flower -- Moby
Fly Away -- Lenny Kravitz
God's Gonna Cut You Down -- Johnny Cash
O Death -- Jen Titus
Dumpweed -- Blink 182
So What'cha Want, The Negotiation Limerick File -- Beastie Boys
Emerge -- Fischerspooner
List of Demands -- Saul Williams
New Life -- Depeche Mode
Tea Party -- Kerli

There, that's a large sampling.

So let's "hear" it Jedi! What moves you??

Though the thing is... I've never tried other genre's... I wonder what it would be like to do my bodyweight workouts with more focused zenful music instead.... hmm...

I don't know -- I've never really tried that either.

I know my brother gets all psyched up when listening to classical...and Evander Holyfield would listen to Gospel to get him all pumped up, haha.

It's interesting to see what moves each person though.

When I do Yoga, I listen to Enya in the background. That's peaceful and nice...

Craig David- Insomnia
Nine Inch Nails- Until the Day I Die

Well, actually.. I can listen to pretty much anything except aleatoric music while working out. I like musicals, so I'll often listen to Rock musicals like Rent. I've listened to Green Day, Dead Sara, and Marilyn Manson lately as well.

Interesting choices Hypatia...

I gotta admit, from your vids I didn't picture you getting down with some of those songs, haha.

I will be sampling some of those that I haven't heard of...but good list!

Cool. I'll have to check out Dead Sara...haven't heard of that one before.

And double-cool for making me learn a new word (aleatoric).

The majority of the time I listen to Lostprophets when I'm training by myself. When I'm down the Gym though my instructor has an album that has all sorts of RnB, Rock, Garage etc which is broken up with inspirational quotes from Muhammed Ali, Bruce Lee and some other people who I don't recognise.
