to transport the syrup used to make coke requires having a hazmat endorsement...

it makes a great battery post cleaner....just so you know if your car battery posts ever happen to get that green corrosion on them :lol:

It's most likely because it's a flavoring and a liquid,, which require an endorsement.

The only time I buy Coke is when I'm going to cook a steak that's a tougher cut (because I'm poor and sometimes want steak but can't buy the good stuff). I soak it in a bottle of coke overnight and it tenderizes the crap out of it.

I've also heard that some State Troopers will have a two liter or two in their car to help remove blood stains from roads after an accident. Not verified though, just remember hearing that somewhere.

it's the citric acid in the syrup....it is highly corrosive in its concentrated form...

@goken....it's true...again it's the citric acid....

now just imagine how tough our bodies are to process that stuff...

I use Coke for other things, too. It's an amazing cleaner for the hard water stains my toilet accumulates. I get a 1L bottle, dump it in, and in 2 hours I take the toilet brush and it comes off nice and easy. No scrubbing, and a bowl that would pass a field day inspection.

Indeed. I swear the stuff is just as effective on stained toilets as hydrochloric acid is.

Not surprising that coke contains that much syrup though, that's exactly how McD's and pubs make it...
