I'm autistic, so I don't get irony.

But I think he was saying that he would defend himself. Only the suicidal Gandhi types would consider self-defense to be a perpetration of violence or aggression. I follow the traditional idea of "Ahimsa," which allows a person (or nation) to defend themselves with violence when there is no other way except to accept violence upon yourself. I think this is similar to the kind of non-violence Wes was talking about.

I see the ironic humor there brenna....it was unintentional though...I was simply pointing out that the days of me allowing anyone to inflict a physical punishment on me are long gone...I put up with that crap when I was a child and couldn't protect myself....if someone wants to attempt that on me they better be expecting to receive a much worse retribution...I've had several try to hit me with bats....they were made to regret that lapse in judgement....I will not strike first or strike when unprovoked, but I will also not allow myself to be struck ever again...

As to the topic...if they're gonna make a posterboy, they should at least use the correct offense

Not to mention cannabis isn't an addictive substance, it's not like anyone can be convicted of cannabis addiction. :silly:
