I wish we had more material from the Native American peoples.
On my Mother's side, my Great-Great Grandfather was Blackfoot. Many things mentioned in here are passed down along the generations, but they tend to become more "watered down", or their importance is less emphasized, as each generation passes.
It does my heart good to hear the voice of one part of my ancestry again.

That's neat about your Great-Great Grandfather. I hope you were lucky enough to have him pass knowledge and traditions down the line. I know sometimes the younger generations tend to drop things (my Swedish side sure did...and they had so many cool things to share too
)
