I wasn't suggesting that it could be our only source of income. I was just wondering if buying from there does help. Later in the same comment I suggested that people who cannot afford to donate themselves could always ask others to donate or at least ask others to buy gifts from the merch store so that they're helping out in any small way they can.

There just isnt a lot of profit, as we would like to keep the prices as low as possible, Im not sure of the profit margin though...

Prolly about a buck per item...

Any money brought in to TOTJO goes to that...

As I said elsewhere, I gues I just assumed people knew that, lol....

You know what you might do?

Make it a part of the FAQ. Then, when people join, they get informed and there is less need for assumptions. Not everybody reads everything. But most people read the FAQ.

I've seen the donate button loads of times but I rarely notice it, it doesn't need to be much bigger, just maybe a different colour and in a place a bit more central?

profit from totjo stores is an almost not existing thing
it is remarked just a 10% so for every $100 the temple only makes $10 (obviously)
but merchandise items are around $30-$40 , so totjo makes $3, not much found rise from there

666, I already clarified that I wasn't suggesting the temple could be sustained on the store alone. But just that someone who can't donate themselves anyway could ask people to buy Christmas or birthday gifts from there. It's not much, but it is better than nothing if someone can't find a way to help bring money in otherwise.
