TOTJO move and un-move was created by ren
Due to some limitations with our current host, John and I thought it would be a good idea to move it to a more reputable host. Unfortunately on this occasion, the host was a lot worse than its reputation... So we're back to where we were to begin with.

Incidentally, the best solution for us would be to get a dedicated server, and some people seemed to be willing to help...

So, would you be willing to regularly donate to totjo to help with the running costs?

A decent server would cost around €50/month

I can pledge 50 dollars a month providing that whatever donation option provides for a card option and not that plagued pay pal system. I have had quite a few clashes with them concerning the process of even getting the darned thing to work right.

Do to my financal situation right now with having a baby girl and heading to school i'm unable to contribute but after all my schooling is done and i start up my new job i would be more then happy to help out

Guess we need a steady group and amount, since no payment means no server.

Lets try to divide the costs as fair as possible. No need for Br. John and DanWerts to pay for the lot if others are willing to cover some part of the expenses to.

I was planning on donating £50 or so last week, but I was waiting on paying rent before doing that and now my landlord needs the room so I've got to move :/

My new place might be slightly cheaper but I have been intending to donate what I can

Trouble is I don't have a whole lot of spare income :(

I've been kinda going from paycheck to paycheck recently but I can agree to give $15 a month for the cause. Seems like a better plan than waiting till I have enough to show my true appreciation for the Order.

Most payment gateways would cost us more money than we can make (i'm thinking paypoint, etc. There's setup fees, monthly fees).

Then there's google checkout. They charge the same as paypal. We could have both for those who find paypal annoying. We could also accept direct bank transfers on either totjo-owned or personal accounts, depending on what it would cost totjo to have an account (Mark had looked into it for the UK)

I can once I get situated in my new job. Can set up a direct transaction or pay through whichever site you have set up. Looking at a couple months though once I get back on my feet.

We all appriciate what has been said, and yes, there are some regular donors to the site...

How much you give is up to you, or even if you give....

Someone said, "Let me know how much is needed"...

Another said, "I'm sure extra payments are rolled over"...

Yes, the "extra payments" go to upgrade software, since there are better versions out there of chat and other modules... It also allows for updated hardware...

The server costs, the domain costs, and I'm sure Brother John and ren could expound on what I've wrote....

Accountability is important... And we do have records.... however, we fell short when we came to our Year End Report for 2011...

We are working hard for this in 2012....

No one is obligated, do not feel guilty...

There may come a time when our current contributors can not, yet you may be able...

Do what you can, if you can...

As far as PayPal vs any other paysite... I have never had trouble with it, but that's me...

Having "trouble", or bad experiences would cause me second guess using it.... But, if you really want to do something, you'll do it... That's just a fact...
