I'd say very eclectic Paganism/Wiccan/Native American if I had to actually put a label on it. ;)

Our Jediism is syncretic; a blend of beliefs and practices.
For me, there are two questions regarding magickal practice: the first is, How do we blend it with our Jediism?
The second is, How does our magickal practice inform our ethical practice?

Addressing the first question…
For me, through meditation I see what is to be accomplished or set in place for a personal rite or ritual. This could be shared with others or turned to a ceremony, but as I was trained to be a solitary practitioner it seems slightly odd to me.

And to the second question…
I am of the impression that our ethical practice shapes our magickal practice. If that makes sense? Or maybe I’m not understanding the question.

Wes,

A thoughtful answer, as always. Thank you.

My practice is both private and public, having designed and implemented shared/group ceremony. Even so, the individual or communal magickal result, effect or outcome of my ceremonies is not something I intentionally plan. I create ceremonial events and each person gets out of it what they put into it.

Good point about what 'shapes' what; from ethical to magickal practice. Perhaps, these are more reciprocal, or even inseparable, than my question implies.

I always practice in solitude as it reduces the variables...I can control my emotional/spiritual/intellectual states but not the states of other participants...when doing things that could backfire it's best to have as few variables as possible....plus I'm fully accustomed to solo practice and don't "play well with others" at times...of course I am smart enough not to step beyond my capabilities without taking proper precautions...

I feel similar to Alan and Wescli in some points:

" practice is both private and public" ........(or shared)

"solitary practitioner" ...............................(of many exercises )

About shapes,Ussualy, I work in a familiar ground.

If not, first I learn... /

I did grow in a christian circle and the change was slow.

Many years and "steps" to arrive to Paganism and Neopaganism,to
accept yoga philosophy in a structure of initiatic work, with steps,
ceremonies, and operations. With a point of start, and point of conclussion,
feeling and assimilating a process of inner transformation.

Which model are you referring to Crystale? The one I am particularly familiar with is taken from ceremonial magick, (Golden Dawn) and is focused primarily upon the chakras...
