Salutations,

This is primarily for Jestor and Brenna, to keep communications clear as things have been busy. We spoke on many things but considering my time and what we can get out of the time I have available. I thought of this for the first step.

To start, I have well over 32 clothing art designs already concept sketched, but I wished to focus on the following 5 pieces. Each would be interchangeable, meaning the art for the back/front can be switched or mixed up. All of it is done in Vector art, meaning it can be re-sized without loss of quality of artwork. Two of the Five Aspects as covered below (The Force and The Truth) are using special text based art which I am known locally for. This art is made for clothing but because the art is interchangeable, it can also be put on many other objects/posters/mugs/etc.

The Five Aspects (A clothing art line for TotJO)
The Five Aspects are the Belief, Code, Creed, Teachings, Maxims. Each of the front versions would have a TotJO, where the logo is surrounded by the three tenants.

The Belief
- Any color clothing, work done in black version and white version.
- Front: Simple Black/White TotJO logo
- Back: All eight lines of the 'Jedi Belief'.

The Code
- Any color clothing, work done in black version and white version.
- Front: Simple Black/White TotJO Logo
- Back: The entire Jedi Code.

The Jedi
- Any color clothing, work done in black version and white version.
- Front: Simple Black/White TotJO Logo
- Back: The entire TotJO Creed

The Force
- Any color clothing, work done in black version and white version.
- Front: Simple Black/White TotJO logo
- Back: A martial art style male/female (both?) in motion, surrounded by 16 energy waves, where the line work for each of the waves is done in pure text, consisting each of the 16 teachings.

The Truth
- Any color clothing, work done in black/white version, white/pink version, and black/pink version.
- Front: Simple Black/White TotJO logo
- Back: A Cherry Blossom tree with the 21 Maxims hanging surrounded by blossoms.

---

As specified in the private messages, all of the work is done as a donation where possible, free otherwise.

After this is done, which I can get it all done in a month, once officially approved. I would be willing to consider the poster line of work that Jestor and I discussed. I think we would get more starting interest for the time involved by starting with the Five Aspect line.

Thoughts?

Sounds good.

How about we just start with one design and see how it goes. We are of course limited to what can be offered through cafe press so this does need to be a continuing discussion.

Are you sure that the font would show ok? It's very flowery and elaborate.

Really not sure, depends on how it looks on the T-shirt layout. Changing the font is easily doing though. I would need feedback from those who put together the final product before I can really say.

I'm curious why you shortened some of the sixteen point star's points. That would imply that some of the teachings are more important than the others.

I also agree about the font being difficult to read. Even as large as it is on this screen. It'd be even more so on moving fabric. Makes my eyes want to cross lol.

I hadn't noticed that... but now you say it, it does look strange.

*Shugs* looks like a normal twinkling star that flickers in and out. Nothing in life is in perfect unison. Including the doctrines. We learn each one at our own pace, some more than others, and even then they have the potential to fade and glow brightly within our lives at different points when we need them most. Just like a star twinkling in and out.

Just my thoughts.

I took some artistic license, and never intended to imply teachings were less or greater than each other.

This looks great. Might I copy the image to use on my PC as a background and on my Clerical Journal? If I were to use it publicly I would give credit to your User name here ( by public I mean something like in FB post)

Sure thing, this is for the Temple, so you do not need to credit me if you want. I am giving this to the Temple.

Also here is another version (the default)

Edit Note: These are all vector designs and are held in vector files on my computer (Illustrator & SVG), ready to send to a representative of the Temple of the Jedi Order upon request.

I can't help but think that something still looks 'off' about the logo... Everything looks a bit too fat.. when you look at the original the 5 points are much slimmer, and the points of the middle star are much closer to the centre. I'm sure there is a logo file uploaded somewhere in the art forum with a base design. Not trying to be critical here...

I should note that I have a fix in the works and the main issue you may see is the 5 points which are not as long as they could be (reference top of forum logo). Also the default logo is small and Raster, which means it does not resize well, prompting me to remake it in vector which resizes without loss of information.

There are actually a number of threads which have vectorized versions already available.

And while I understand the intend behind "creative liscense", I would personally be hesitant to exercise such with a logo, as that logo is part of the branding identity of TOTJO and has rather specific meaning to each part, including if I remember correctly a rather precise and equal balance between use of white and black. I distinctively remember quite a few discussions already had about the altering of the logo.

Anyway, vectorized versions can be found in the link(s) below:

https://www.templeofthejediorder.org/forum/Jedi-Art/106018-totjo-logo-rework-crafter-ocd-friendly-mathemagical-version#134969 (svg format)

https://www.templeofthejediorder.org/forum/22-projects-and-committees/106236-totjo-digital-art-repository#138716 (svg and ai format)

I believe there are a few others but those were the ones I remembered off the top of my head.

Edit: I'm not saying you can't take creative liscense, btw... just that if I were to take that to class, it would be declared a branding identity, which would mean preserve it in the original form. And the way my brain tends to work, I would take that quite literally. Hahaha. By all means, "creative liscense" your heart away. ;)

Thank you, I thought this had not been done. Well, no point in continuing work on this now *sigh*

I do shirt designs like this:

Thought I must admit it is usually just free work as I cannot compete with professionals.

Sure there's plenty of reason. I was just providing you somewhere where a vector version was already available if you wanted to use that in your designs. :)

Keep doing you either way

I thank you for the interest, the answer though is free. I am doing this free for the Temple. They could use it or you could use it and donate to the temple. I am willing to do the work and then you can apply it using an online service like CafePress.
