- Kind of a combination of two things: As I was watching Star Trek I wished that I could be like a Vulcan. The abilities to control emotion and be logical was very appealing to me. I looked around online and found ways to do this. And one day after a religious group rang came around the neighborhood, I thought it would be funny to tell them that I was a Jedi. So to really play it up I looked into it to seem believable. And here I found out that Jediism is a real religion and was actually what I had been looking for all along and matched what I felt inside. (Note, I don’t try to mess with the religious groups anymore, now I tell them for real my beliefs.)

-We were told about God but didn’t attend church until I was about 9. And even then, it was an option for us. Religion wasn’t forced on us, we were given the choice of what we wanted to believe and whether or not we wanted to participate in worship or church activities.

-Note that this varied through time. From 9-12 I went fairly regularly, probably 2-3 times a month. In my early teens this shortened to about once a month. Later teens it was like now, rare.

-I’ve had some people be a little puzzled by it, but I haven’t had anything done against me due to my beliefs. Maybe one or two that were a little shocked, but again there was nothing harmful said to me or done to me for it.

a. Yes
-I would like people to realize that Jediism is a real religion. It can be co-practiced so to speak with other religions. We aren’t in this for role play, games, or because of sci-fi fanaticism. Some of us may be big fans of it, but that isn’t the reason why we are here. We are here because this is the way we feel we should be, the way we should live our lives.

Was seeking more answers then I was really being given, as I knew there was more out there than what I already knew. I was curious, and so I began doing my research. I did know about the Jedi Religion, and so looked into it.. but it wasn't the first thing I checked. However when I did, I came to this site and began finding the answers to the questions I was seeking.

Well, a lot of people I know just from my school think that I'm only apart of the Jediism because of my affection for Star Wars, but in reality it's not true. I've done what I could to help them realize this is a true religion, but most don't understand.. I wish they would just have an open mind to it, and help themselves to understand the fact that this is a true religion, not some game that we're playing.

none of the answer provided fit what drew me here..I actually found TOTJO while doing a comparative religious study and search on the internet for various
beliefs that was less well known then the major world religions and found it fit my spirituality.

a. well my answer has to be both yes and no...it hasnt in the fact that i have always held similar beliefs to Jediism but it has
in several areas like beng against the death penalty etc.

With no offence intended, I think if may be an idea to read a bit more about the history of the Temple of the Jedi Order before asking questions, and re-consider the answers available for future surveys. For example \"How long have you been a member of the TOTJO\" - one of the options is 10 years or more, when it's only been around for 6 years. As for religious beliefs, Jediism is not a religion to some people.
