Open Sermon Slots

We still have a large number of open sermon slots: http://www.templeofthejediorder.org/forum/Weekly-Sermons-and-Live-Services/106017-sermon-schedule-2014

These are open to anyone and everyone in the Temple to contribute. If you would like to write a sermon then please send either myself or alex a PM and we will add your name to the list.

The current theme for sermons is "Basic Teachings". Think of it like "What can life and our materials teach us?"

The open sermons can be on anything your like but you can use the theme if you wanted to. Clergy already on the list that do not want to write on the topic of Basic Teachings can have their assigned date(s) moved to an open sermon slot(s).

Working on one now as a matter or fact. First things first...

If allowed, I could take the April 16 slot.

The sermon is written, and after some editing, will be publishable by April 16.

Alan, send either me or alex the sermon to proof read and then we will submit it on the date (just be sure to remind us in case we forget)

He can just put it in the Article Manager ... we can read it there. That way, the by-line will also be accurate.

Yes I saw it yesterday I was waiting for today to have it published, and it is so now.

Just to note there are quite a few unfilled Open Sermon slots coming up. These are open to everyone at the Temple (not just clergy or seminarians) - all you need do to take a slot is express an interest by replying to this thread.

Jun 11 - OPEN SERMON
Jun 25 - OPEN SERMON

Speaking from experience, Open Sermons are a great way to communicate with the whole Temple community.

Our theme is BASIC TEACHINGS:

I edited this in - the theme at the moment is Basic Teachings, meaning something like "What can our doctrine teach us about life?".

I hope that helps... and if you wanted to claim the 25th June you'd have over a month to think about it!

Yes, put me down for June 25th. I'll be working on it.

I'm quite nervous but I would love a slot for June 11th please. My time away has allowed me to learn quite a bit, and I want to contribute that to the community.
