A committee is at least two persons, has a name, a chair and may allow non-members to participate unless the committee votes members only.

All other rules are published by the committee.

An Ad Hoc Committee is always a temporary committee with a specific task and it dissolves when it completes that task. That's why this is not under the Committee Forum as those are standing Committees.

Wouldnt the ranking committee be a permanent Fixture as we do continue to grow and grow versus a committee whose task is to develop a handbook? food for thought

Keeping the committee, is not a bad idea, I do believe that a election should happen quite regularly, so that the members do elect the committee members or whatever.

Elections often, of that you can be sure. I was thinking somewhere around every 3-6 months

so then the ranking committee should be a permanent committee. because it will always be working even when it is done with the group now, we will always have new members.
