How are you all keeping well this week?

I'm trying to get outside for at least 10 minutes a day into my garden, take a break from the computer screen!

Ive started making list. I heard it can be very satisfying to establish short and long term goals and to check them off as you accomplish them. So i found a chalkboard for the long term ones and the paper journal i have for my lessons to include the short day to day list.

Moar water
I don't drink enough in general, and I especially don't drink enough water. So I'm taking some steps to improve that.

Might as well jump in on Wednesday Wellness.

This week I've been listening to a lot of ambient music at work to keep my mind occupied and away from negative self-talk: Lee Blaske (various genres piono) and John Serrie (ambient, planetarium, spacy music). It keeps me in a peaceful mindset which carries over into everything else.

How are you all keeping well this week?

I'm on a mental health break so I'm out in my garden cutting back a rosebush, and not putting pressure on myself to do stuff.

Gardening is one of the good remedies for mental health! 1) Those ‘dirty’ microbes may cut anxiety and boost brain function.

When you dig in the dirt, you’ll be also digging into mycobacterium vaccae, a soil-based organism that animal research has shown to play a positive role in gut and brain health, including lightening mood and anxiety. It may have similar positive effects in humans. My advice? Don’t stress out about the dirt – play in it!http://www.kathieswift.com/blog/2016/6/30/get-your-hands-dirty-5-ways-gardening-can-improve-your-health

I can not tell you how much having a place to physicly go to unwind is so benifishal. I can not. I can express how I myself preach the garden life, dig it? Pun intended. There is something about dirt. I have a spacific pot of dirt I use to touch and use in my own meditations and practices. This mornings meditation was about seeds as well in our home. Reminding the human of the natural cycle of life is a good thing in my own path. Recently I was able to start a new path in my own life becasue of the reminder of nature and the new beginnings happen in their own season. Gardening is great for my own menetal health. Remebering seasons come and go and return, can too. Examples are every where and these are not the only ones.

Having a place in the back of the house for a willow helped the deer to have a place to chill. Happy seeking Jedi and may the Force be with ya'll where ever you meet it.

Im fortunate enough to have a large block surrounded by national park. I love gardening too.

The front yard is water features and decorative plants flowers etc. The rear is a large kitchen garden and orchard.
Spent this week preparing seedling trays for the summer vegie patch (its almost spring down under)

The tree used as a backdrop is one i planted 30 years ago, and was perfect for this photo. I call it the Dagobah tree for obvious reasons

We are 2 months into a hard lockdown that looks like lasting till next year. Cant travel more than 5 K's from home and only for food and medical.
I am so lucky to have such a space to be in.
