Cabur Senaar: Let us begin.
Cabur Senaar: Welcome one and all to
this, the occasion of the Ordination of one of our members. Let us begin the
ceremony in reflection:
Cabur Senaar: We offer our thanks for the insight that springs from the
Force as we seek to apply it to our lives.
Cabur Senaar: As beings of light we
connect with our brothers and sisters in the Universal Moment and as beings of flesh and bone our footsteps walk this Earth and echo in time.
Cabur Senaar: Grant us the focus,
knowledge and wisdom to live each moment as best we can --
Cabur Senaar: As mortal creatures,
Cabur Senaar: As eternal souls,
Cabur Senaar: As Jedi.
Cabur Senaar: May the Force be with you all …
Rosalyn J: And also with you

Cabur Senaar: The Force guides everyone to serve in their own particular
way and some of these people are called to minister its truths and mysteries to
others. As servants of the people, Ministers are to shepherd them on their
respective paths and to guide them to self-discovery and understanding. With
their fellow Ministers, they are to sustain the community of the faithful by
the ministry of doctrine and guidance, that we all may grow into the fullness
of the Force and better understand ourselves.
Cabur Senaar: Will the Candidate
please step forward and announce himself.
Raxicorico: I am Kyle J Krumsick, Knight of Jediism and known as Raxicorico
Cabur Senaar: Are you prepared to
accept the responsibilities of the role of Ordained Minister of Jediism on this
day?
Raxicorico: Yes, I am
Cabur Senaar: Will the Presenting
Minister please step forward and announce herself.
Rosalyn J: I am Rosalyn Johnson, Knight and Deacon of the Temple of the Jedi Order
Cabur Senaar: Has the Candidate
completed all of the required Clerical training as prescribed by the Temple of
the Jedi Order?
Rosalyn J: Yes he has
Cabur Senaar: Does the Candidate
fulfil the requirements according to their rank at the Temple of the Jedi
Order, including all necessary Oaths or Vows?
Rosalyn J: Yes he does
Cabur Senaar: Has the Candidate fulfilled all of the requirements for
Ordination as prescribed by the Temple of the Jedi Order?
Rosalyn J: Yes he has
Cabur Senaar: Is the Candidate under
any judicial ban that would prevent this Ordination at this time?
Rosalyn J: No he is not
Cabur Senaar: And does this Ordination
have the approval of the Council of the Temple of the Jedi Order?
Rosalyn J: Yes it does
Cabur Senaar: Thank you.
Cabur Senaar: Ministers are called to
be servants among the people. They are to be messengers, watchmen and stewards
of the Church. They are to teach and to admonish, to nourish and to support,
and to guide the people through the confusions of life, that they may grow in
knowledge and wisdom of the Force.
Cabur Senaar: As Jedi they are to
protect the peace and defend the weak. As Ministers they are to uplift the
spirit through the guidance of the Doctrine and the wisdom of the Force. With
the qualities of compassion, understanding, tolerance and acceptance, they are
to open their arms to embrace the community and to provide counsel in times of
need.
Cabur Senaar: They are to minister to
the sick and prepare those who are transitioning from this world and back to
the Force, supporting all those who are affected by such changes. Standing
together with their brothers and sisters, they are to provide light through the
darkness, that the whole Church may be built up in unity and faith.


Cabur Senaar: In addition to this,
Ordination is a commitment for life. It can only be rescinded in the most
severe of circumstances as this is a contract between the Minister and the
Force, a dedication to serving the people through the Doctrine and the guidance
of the Force. This promise is written on the soul and strengthens every fiber
of the spirit; as such it is not to be taken lightly and without due
consideration.
Cabur Senaar: Kyle Krumsick, Will you on this
day devote yourself to the care and the needs of the people as an Ordained
Minister of Jediism?
Raxicorico: I will
Cabur Senaar: Will you faithfully
minister the Doctrine of this church, by which our community may flourish in
their faith?
Raxicorico: I will
Cabur Senaar: Will you, reconciled to
your eternal existence in the Force, strive to be an instrument of peace in the
Temple and in the world?
Raxicorico: Of course. I will.
Cabur Senaar: Will you stand shoulder to shoulder with your fellow
Ministers in upholding the spirits of the people and guiding them to their
highest potential?
Raxicorico: I will.
Cabur Senaar: And will you strive to
further your own self, to be the best that you can be and to allow your light
to shine forth as inspiration to others that may follow?
Raxicorico: I will
Cabur Senaar: Thank you. Know that you
will always be supported by your fellow Ministers, by the Temple itself and by
your own faith in the guidance of the Force. With this in mind, it is with
great pleasure that I ordain you as a Minister and Deacon of Jediism and state
that you shall henceforth be known as Rev. Kyle Krumsick, OCP. May the Force be
with you!

Raxicorico: Thank you, Cabur Senaar
Raxicorico: Firstly, thank you all for attending this ordination.
Raxicorico: I have now been a member of the temple for three and a half
years.
Raxicorico: When I began, I had no idea what to expect.
Raxicorico: I’m not going to lie, I originally thought it was just a
Star Wars fan group and the forums would be filled with online roleplaying.
Raxicorico: That perception, of course, would swiftly change.
Raxicorico: Being in a rough time in my life when I joined, I didn’t even
really know who I was.
Raxicorico: I had no idea I would be standing (or rather sitting) here
being ordained deacon within the Temple.
Raxicorico: I had no idea I would even make it past the initiate
program.
Raxicorico: But what I saw before me was an opportunity.
Raxicorico: What that opportunity would lead to, I really had no idea. I’m
not sure I know entirely even now.
Raxicorico: But opportunities are a way in which the Force influences
our lives.
Raxicorico: The pattern places choices before us such that we are able
to exert our free will to attempt to direct things towards a favorable outcome.
Raxicorico: They are like lightning: the chances of them hitting the
same spot twice are slim.
Raxicorico: Too often people will let opportunities pass them by. They
are afraid.
Raxicorico: After all, such opportunities lead to change, and change
leads to uncertainty for the future.
Raxicorico: But life is a process of change and growth.
Raxicorico: Everything is in flux and trying to resist that will only
lead to eventual conflict. Or stagnation.
Raxicorico: Instead, we should choose to live in the present and go with
the flow of what life brings us.
Raxicorico: And this brings me to what the Temple has meant to me: It is
a safe location that presents opportunities for change and growth.
Raxicorico: Not only have a learned about myself through introspection,
but also confront fears that were controlling my life.
Raxicorico: Since becoming a licensed minister, I was given the
opportunity to share thoughts and experiences in the form of sermons. To
attempt to touch other people’s lives as others had previously touched mine.
Raxicorico: I’m not saying I’m at a conclusion in this journey, because
there can be no real end. There is always room for improvement.
Raxicorico: But what can happen is the opening of further opportunities.
That is what today represents for me: another door opening.
Raxicorico: While I cannot deny it is a great feeling to know that
others appreciate and acknowledge what I have done thus far, while it is a
pretty comforting feeling that I’m a part of the clergy for a religion that has
had a deep impact on my life, today for me is about the potential of new
opportunities.
Raxicorico: And this is the final message I would like to remind you all
of: There are tons of opportunities for growth and helping others within the
temple.
Raxicorico: Go outside your comfort zone of what’s familiar.
Raxicorico: I admit, I was nervous about the idea of writing sermons. So
I signed up to write monthly sermons.
Raxicorico: And that’s what I would like all of you listening right now
to do: Go and do something you wouldn’t normally do, even if it makes you
nervous.
Raxicorico: (within reason of course. Let’s avoid drugs and murder
please)
Raxicorico: Read a book that you wouldn’t normally read.
Raxicorico: Begin learning a new language.
Raxicorico: Experiment with shamanism.
Raxicorico: Live life and embrace opportunities to change and grow.
Raxicorico: Thank you all once again for attending!
