Application to join ToTJO

I notice one of the fields marked out is "List all criminal convictions except for 'fine only' speeding ticket type offenses", is this really relevant to apply?

We have members here who are under the age of 18 thus you (The applicant and not yourself exactly) could be a potential hazard to them OR you (the applicant) might have some other kind of relevant crimes you have committed.

Just to note I'm NOT saying YOU as the individual person are guilty of any crimes, I'm merely saying that as far as the application goes TOTJO Administration needs to know for particular reasons.

I can understand that Metsu....but if i was a threat to minors, would that stop me from lying on an online app? I ask this because in my youth i was evil. I payed my dues and as all these convictions are now spent as per the The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (UK), i feel the question is in violation of my rights. I need not declare them for anyone now so why should i be made to regurgitate them here?

You need to declare them when you apply for a job, you need to declare them when you work with children or with vulnerable adults, it's not an individual thing, you're not being targeted, it's for everyone, all your details will be kept secure and private, I understand about not wanting to share sensitive data, but it is perfectly safe to do so and you will not be judged for it, it is merely a precaution for yourself and for the temple.

You've already admitted to having a criminal past publicly so there should not be an issue declaring it on a legal document that will be kept private and secure.

Actually only certain crimes fall into the need to declare category after a conviction is spent. Yes some of mine have hindered my options. I have no problem being honest....these events happened many many yrs ago.....I now help those that fall into the lifestyle i had. I simply asked for clarification on why this was an asked and needed field in the app form..as if the convictions were not in the children or with vulnerable adults field.....then there should be no reason to disclose.

I merely used children and vulnerable adults as an example as to why the temple asks for criminal convictions, there are obviously going to be other reasons. So to answer your question simply "it is required for security measures."

This i understand.....perhaps in the future, maybe the app should include only those categories of convictions for declaration. Thank you for your response and perspective on this matter. I don't mean to rock the boat, just to gain an understanding of which you have provided.

Individuals, have the right to not fill it out....

Jestor as ever job done. I agree completely. Some in the community may know my name, those who don't will eventually lol....i am vocal. I was diagnosed with ASPD (Psychopathy) hence my coloured past.

In fact here is my list of my wrong doings....don't judge me on them, my debt to society has been paid back...10 fold....i actively speak to those that fall into my past and help them not to get snared by the pitfalls i did.
