In post http://www.templeofthejediorder.org/forum/General-Discussions/90783-Physical-Temples?limit=10&start=100#91614 a member asks if The Order is recognized as a Southern Baptist Church. This has brightened my day considerably. I happen to know where it came from.

Among other things Rob Woodard believes Canadian federal corporations are more powerful than any other type of organization on Earth and we're only a fan club for Star Wars. This has been deleted from Facebook but you just can't hide from Jekel and Hyde. I never got to ask him if a couple married in Texas had to get married in all the other states too for their marriage to be recognized by the entire United States.

This guy, is a piece of work. o.o

Recognition is simply that, Recognition. A group of people can be whatever they desire, it is our right as free people. Whether or not we have said recognition by the US government, Or any other government, does not make us any less than any other group, or peoples of Jediism.

Well, id like to tell this John Paul Thornton, "Well Done! Great control!!"

I felt a bit snappish at a couple of his statements, lol...

But, then I realized this "Rob" is just uninformed...

Many are...

Including myself in certain aspects, on certain things...

On walk-about...

Jedi ain't Saints....

Basic Beliefs of the Southern Baptist Convention.

http://www.sbc.net/aboutus/basicbeliefs.asp

Maybe the Southern Baptists feel slandered but I think the notion of The Order being approved of by them is hilarious.

The only organization who's approval matters for legal reasons is the government...other than that no one elses approval matters except our own...just my thought

O wow, I had forgotten about that. The fact that rob woodard was/is a mod or whatever on that page and acting in that manner, and so ignorantly to boot, is the main reason I quit that page.

And thank you jestor. That is as calm as it was possible for me to be in such an infuriating scenario.

Jedi should educate themselves about the origins of various religions and the similarities present within them. We should recognise when religion has done good and bad.

Or in the case of this sentence on the Southern Baptist page:

A husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church.

Know when they don't understand their own history...

(The Church didn't exist until Jesus had died...)
