I suppose the idea that the system in america is set up to health the rich and not really do a whole lot for the poor. This idea of "the american dream" where if someone works hard they will see the results is bs. I have seen it first hand. I have seen my father, and his father before him, work themselves insane levels, my grandfather working himself to death, and seeing little to no tangible results for it. Sure, my grandfather was a great man, but he died poor. Yes, my father is a great man, with a strong sense of right and wrong, he is intelligent and compassionate, and works harder than anyone else I know. He is poor though, and sadly will probably always be poor. This is the system we live in. Regardless of how hard my father worked, he had no means of getting anywhere else in this world. He never had the money to go to college, so he worked in the manual labor, and yeah he made enough money to provide a home and food for me, which I am forever grateful for, but at the end of the day his house was foreclosed on.

The "American Dream" is a lie. While there are a small handful of people who can achieve this (Hate him or love him Barack Obama for one, did just this) the VAST majority of people born into poverty, regardless of their hard work, will stay in poverty, or climb JUST BARELY out of it.

The truth of the matter is that in this country, if you want to be rich, you'd better have some money to start off with.

It is for these reasons, that I support the occupy movement and I believe in the message they are sending.

Oh and I'm also for public healthcare, but I'm a crazy socialist :P.
