The pupils in my school respected the two minute silence today, they stood silent and proud.

They have made a difference.

I realize that this post was to make people consider the rammifications of their actions.....

Somewhere, I could not find it in my journal, maybe in a conversation/thread about a topic similar to this, we had quite the discussion....

It boiled down to this.....

1) We should always be mindful of our actions, for even in the smallest of actions, could, would affect another in some way, positive or negative.... Our lives overlap too much....

2) To keep a list of things done, is a form of self-gratification.... We should do things, not for the recognition we recieve, but because it is right....

The past is gone, the future doesn't yet exist.... there is only now... What are you doing, right now?

Does this make sense?

Maybe, we should ask ourselves, did we do our best today? Did we give it our best effort?

Please see this as a discussion, not an admonishment for this line of thought....

Even in this case, this very post, by asking people to consider their actions, you are....

'Doing your best'....

I think I found what I was looking for when I clicked back to the other window, there it was....

From the Tao Te Ching....

38
A truly good man is not aware of his goodness, and is therefore good.
A foolish man tries to be good, and is therefore not good.
A truly good man does nothing, yet leaves nothing undone.
A foolish man is always doing, yet much remains to be done.
When a truly kind man doessomething, he leaves nothing undone.
When a just man does something, he leaves a great deal to be done.
When a disciplinarian does something and no one responds,
He rolls up his sleeves in an attempt to enforce order.

Therefore when Tao is lost, there is goodness.
When goodness is lost, there is kindness.
When kindness is lost, there is justice.
When justice is lost, there ritual.
Now ritual is the husk of faith and loyalty, the beginning of confusion.
Knowledge of the future is only a flowery trapping of Tao.
It is the beginning of folly.
Therefore the truly great man dwells on what is real and not what is on the
surface,
On the fruit and not the flower.
Therefore accept the one and reject the other.

Now that I like very much.

I like to put things down to raise my own and hopefully others awareness.

I most definitely see this as a discussion, not an admonishment for this line of thought.

I would be hapy if someone would like to change the subject name, or if it has been over done in the past remove it from the forum .

Take care of you all.

Here is a short passage which I like very much.
'Compassion lies at the heart of genuine helping. often our helping is out of desperation to avoid our own pain. Insist on helping others, In turn it will help yourself'
